Gilbee is a different case however, Gilbee has been fit this year (to my understanding anyway) and hasn't been able to crack the Dogs team much. Now that could be because the Dogs are trying to develop and want to play the younger guys instead or because he just simply isn't best 22 anymore.

If Gilbee was to play a game this weekend, how would you expect him to play ?

That is basically the question that you should ask yourself.

I think he was recovering from a knee injury for the majority of the 1st half of the season before playing in the VFL.

He could be a decent bench option. I have not seen him play this year but if he can still kick the ball the way he could then he can still be a dangerous player in a top 4 team.

He is healthy now and has played the last 4 games for the Dogs. He had an injury interrupted preseason and has worked his way into the team. Again I have not really seen him play other then the Carlton game and I did not really notice him then. In terms of the rules for this competition (current form) he might not be the greatest pick but he is certainly not the worst and he has one of the better kicks in the comp which is something Hawthorn has based their recruiting strategy around.

I dnt realy mind if my team cones first or last, but iv drafted my whole team assuming every player would b at their best, thats how i sore the rules. Seems a bit Silly to judge someone on current form unless theyre injured, what about players carrying injury. And what about players with a 2-3 week injury do they get judged on carrer form?

Eg: marc murphy, does he get judged on current form as he's returning from injury? ... I doubt it  :P

Iv had fun drafting so i dnt mind really how the judging goes anyway
