Backs - Godd, Lids, Birchall, Johnson, Waters Hargrave, Shaw (Smedts, Townsend)

which of the rooks should I upgrade for carrots??? and keep hargrave as D7

or should upgrade Hargrave (are any of the rooks good enough for D7?) and use cash finalise mids

appreciate the advices

Ricochet

if you have the cash, then keep Hargs. i wouldn't trust any of those rooks as a reliable D7. Of those i'd be keeping Shaw. Then a toss of the coin as to who to get rid of. Probably Smedts.

cheers ricochet - been hating that bloke all year.  might get rid him of him anyway so i dont see him in my team each week!!

Colliwobblers

depends if you have enough trades, but hargrave needs to be upgraded but i would upgrade smedts or townsend first, hargrave better cover than they are if you run out of trades

SydneyRox

Upgrade using Smedts. I would be trying to get Scotland or Shaw  over Carrots if I were you though

shaw might miss this week, we don't know untill later on in the week.

if i were you, i'd want sam shaw as my D8, wouldn't of thought he'd miss too many, if any. looks the goods, but they probably won't play him this week, as he was hurt and they lost, but i think he would find his way back into the team.

so the trades imo would be to replace hargrave and trade out a forward, place sub smedts to forward line and bring in a defender that way, hence keeping shaw.

its hard to give a solid answer without knowing the rest of your squad and ambition for season.

i get the impression you wanna minimise trades, hence asking if a rookie could be your D7, or hargrave. mate i don't think anyone knows the answer- we have no idea when hargrave will miss and what sam shaw will score!!!

to be honest dropping a forward and shifting smedts to allow for a back upgrade, thus keeping hargrave and shaw and fielding the one who is named ''might'' do if thats the only reamining trades you really want to do in your backline. ideally for more points you'd want to upgrade 2 more defenders but its been a difficult injury struck season and we are lowish on trades

Smedts is a spud. The only thing he is good for is a Def/Fwd link.
