Which premos?

Rockliff
Jelwood
Birchall
Suckling
Carrazzo

n.r.i.

Which premo mid out of Jelwood and rocky, also which back should I go for?

Spinking

Selwood and Carazzo.

Durable and best value.

Selwood and Carrazzo, but we could give a better answer if you address your situation?

E.g. if you have two spots left for defence(and will spend the trades), then Birchall first, Carrots second.
If its just finishing off your mid/def and just asking for the better players, then Selwood and Carrots.
It'd be useful(even if not needed) to list your lines(mids and defense in this case and whether you need money or just looking for the best).

n.r.i.

Current mids: ablett, Boyd, swan, mitchell, pendlebury, McDonald.         Zorko Gibson
Def: deledio, Scotland, Goddard, shaw, Broughton, lake, Hargrave.       Smedts, spur

Selwood and Carrots for me  ;)

For the season so far I'd go jelwood, but rocky is playing some good footy and won't get tagged when in the midfield, he will go up foward and kick goals, jelwood gets a hard tag every week.

Ricochet

Jelwoods been super consistent, apart from when he got knocked out and had a hard raines tag.
and has to be Carrots for your defence
those two for me

Colliwobblers

rockliff will significantly outscore Jelwood IF he is played for whole games in the middle where he belongs

He will also play more games maybe only one more but Jelwood will be rested for one you would assume maybe get himself concussed for another..

and Carrots for sure

henry

Carrots for sure in defence, then its close but I'd go jelwood. I rate Thompson/watson higher than both of them, can you afford either of them?

n.r.i.

Can afford thomo but this extra 30 k would leave me with virtually 0 in bank, should I go for thomo anyway?

Im not having a go at you or anything Colliwobblers just aiming at everyone in general who has been mentioning this. How the hell can you think that Jelwood is going to get rested later in the year. Geelong by no means have an easy run into the finals and are struggling to stay in the 8 as it is. Geelong are going to have to put their best team on the park week in and week out of they want to play finals this year. Maybe if geelong were in the top 4 and travelling well then id agree with you but honestly don't think there is any chance they will rest their captain this year.

Rockys consistency scares me a little. We know he's a gun when he's on the ball but Voss is chucking everybody everywhere. I started with Selwood from round 1 thinking he was underpriced and going to absolutely kill it this year. Well he's doing even wrose, thanks to a few head knocks and a suspension, but id probably back him in to have a big 2nd half of the year (hopefully for my DTs sake hahahha) and help keep Geelong in the finals race. If anyone can drag their team along its Selwood, he is an absolute machine of a player.

It comes down to this. Take rocky who can average 120-130 on the ball for the run home but bear in mind that any injuries in the fwd line to players like brown, merett (who aren't exactly durable) and you could see rocky up at FF again. Take Selwood and he may only average somewhere between 105-115 for the rest of the year but you know that week in week out and he's going to be leading gee longs engine room and his position won't change.

Rocky (bit of risk but if played right will outscore Jelwood, pluss less likely to get his head ripped off)
Carrazzo (price and form)
