So first off, some unfortunate news that promising youngster Tom Curran taken with our second pick in this year's draft will most likely be out for the season with surgery conducted on his foot on Friday. He may return for some of 2012, but at the moment the main priority is to get him up and running for the 2013 pre-season, as he really looks promising.

But, if we do put him on the LTI list, it allows another spot for a rookie elevation, and with Gibson being elevated two weeks ago the rookie list consists of Majak Daw, Malcolm Lynch, Brad Mangan, Gavin Urqhart and Max Warren. People have been calling for Majak to get a game for a while, I'm still not sure whether he should this year or not, but out of that list I am liking his chances for an elevation.

Holz

If Daw gets a game it will be the most hyped game for years.

i have wanted daw to get a game for about 2 years now, but after actually seeing him play live for the first time at windy hill with my own eyes i cant see him getting a game anytime soon. He got well beaten by bellchambers and didnt haave much of an impact on the game. Its safe to say I have lost hope :'( :'(

To be fair, Bellchambers has played a fair few games at AFL level, and tbh probably should still be playing for Essendon over Hille. If Daw were to play this season he wouldn't be number 1 ruckman either, Goldy would be.

Capper

North will surely play with Goldy a their only Ruckman until hmac comes back. North are already too tall IMO and don't need extra height. Also he would be behind other talls playing in the 2s in terms of getting a game in the 1s

i agree but if daw comes into the senior he wont be rucking against crappy vfl ruckmen he will be against the best in the comp, and you wouldnt say the bellchambers is even close to the best in the comp, he would have much harder opponents! And i cant see him going into the forward line with hansen petrie and tarrant, with edwards on the cusp of selection

Yeah I agree. To be perfectly honest, I doubt whoever gets promoted will get into the senior side straight away, our side is looking good at the moment and unless we lose a few and drop out of contention for the 8, I can't see too many areas to change.

I agree with this, we have lost 2 games by under a goal against essedon and port, if we had of won them we would be 8-4, we dont need more under 50 gamers.

Like we thought:

QuoteMeanwhile, Scott said rookie Majak Daw was unlikely to make his AFL debut soon despite North's ability to elevate another rookie after first-year forward Tom Curran's move onto the long-term injury list this week.

"Majak Daw and a few others are playing some reasonable footy. Majak has had a really interrupted year with injury so we just want some continuity for him," Scott said.

"But he's showing all the right signs of being an AFL player of the future. Hopefully he can push up for selection later this year but I wouldn't say it's imminent."
