Mid/Fwd Rookie?

I need a downgrade, so I can up Porps to Swan this week. Unfortunately the logical option, Gibson, kills my DPP link, and would make Zorko stuck in the forwards - I'd want him at least this week for Pendles cover.

Basically, I need a mid/fwd rookie. I know there's none on the bubble, but is there anyone due for a game soon? Even if they're 2 1-2 weeks out, I'd consider it. Cheaper the better. And please don't say Couch, if he's fit and playing well and still hasn't had a game, then I don't believe he'll play at all this season.

pendles is a chance of playing this week

Crozier is probably your best bet, but he's played 3 games already.

Also note that pendles has a chance of returning this week, so you might not even need the cover if he plays. Just something to consider.

OK I shouldn't have made the Pendles thing a point of focus. I'd still rather have Zorko able to go to fwds or mids as cover for the rest of the season, rather than stuck in fwds (I have a complete forward line too).

Crozier is my option if I can't find anything else, I'd obviously rather someone at base price if I can though!

Do you need them to play? If you consider Zorko to be good enough cover for both your forward and mids then why not go Couch or Papertalk. You get the extra cash and the DPP link...happy days.

Yeah not necessarily, although obviously I'd prefer someone with a chance of playing, but keeping the link + the extra cash is probably more important here. I guess I'm a little bitter about Couch as I held him for a while at the start of the season, so not super keen on bringing him back. Does Papertalk have any chance of getting games?

Windigo

Couch might net get a game all year by the looks of it.

Slays VFL & cannot get in. Had a bad game this weekend as well.

That's exactly what I'm thinking. All the signs say he should, but if he isn't... well I don't see what's suddenly going to change. Maybe some major injuries?

We're probably better off hoping he stays rookie priced for next year at this rate!

Hagebear

I guess this is the week we'll find out if couch will ever get a game with magner likely to be out with a bung knee.even with his bad game on the weekend if he doesnt get picked this week maybe retirement could be an option for the kid

Windigo

Correct me if I'm wrong.

Neeld said he won't play Couch & Magnar in the same team because they are similar players.

Bluesman

Bit more expensive but Stephen Clifton from GWS won't be too far away ;)

Windigo

Absolute gun for North Ballarat.  ;)

Unless the plague runs through Perth probably not.

As you mentioned Crozier is probably the best bet if you don't want to go the 85k non-playing route.
