Okay to this week thanks to hargrave, Malceski, Guthrie, Ellis, Goddard, Birchall, Deledio all being out and Spurr being a no show again i have on defender playing in Adcock. Im looking to upgrade Malceski, except i don't know who to choose for the run home.

Heath Shaw: Scoring potential probably the best of the lot
-Pies with a tough run home but its Collingwood
-Should score well with all their KPP defenders back
-Injury worry?
-Is it bad to have Beams, Pendles, Siddebottom and Shaw?

Waters: high scoring potential
-Never really receives attention
-Eagles had a hard run coming home but Waters relishes the big games

Johnson: Has proven scoring ability to some extent.
-Scored well and consistently so far
-Dawson out of the team worries me though and could hurt his scoring.

Broughton:
-Been pretty consistent this year
-Low ceiling so far this year
-doesnt have a definite role and is playing all over the park :\

Scotland: Scoring potential is huge also
-Injury worry? old? could be rested if injury scare going into finals. thats if carlton make it
-Cartlon are average at the moment and this is reflected in scotlands scoring to an extent this year.

Which one do i choose? At the moment leaning towards Shaw...

By the way you may think hang on Scotland isn't playing this week so i get a 0 anyways. in my main cash league, I'm playing someone who is bottom of the ladder and has 8/9 round 13 defenders and 0's in other areas of the field so it shouldn't hurt me too much.

I have the same issue! Need a defender!  I am leaning toward Waters! I have Shaw! Grimes is a smokie!

Yeah Grimes is another option. However with very limited trades and coming around the bend to the final stretch, the last thing i want to do is trade in someone with Grimes' injury history. fair enough if you started with him but despite his form I don't think i can bring myself to do it

Flame

Fair call on Grimes! I'm tossing up between waters and brought on then!

In your case i would probably go Waters. 3/4 DT finals games are against big opponents and like i said Waters loves playing on the big stage. Broughton is still a good option though and yeah has been quite consistent this year. Your choice haha

Flame

Cheers to you! I will pick up Carrazzo in a few weeks!

Yeah same, looking to upgrade ellis to carrazzo in round 14-15 :)

I'll see how Golby goes this week before making a decision whether to get Andy C.

I must say, getting quite attached to Golby after everyone lost the faith so quick.  :P

What about the other grimey one? The Nathan variety?!?
Nathan Grima or Carrazzo/Birchall are your best bets if you wanna wait, if not I'd probably go Broughton :S

Hagebear

Waters!! Like u said he doesn't get attention as hurn will cop the forward tag every week. Don't think u can go wrong by getting in beau!!

mm at this stage in the year its premiums or nothing for me. Grima is injury prone and not a proven premium so no thanks.

I have Birchall and ill be swapping Ellis for Carrots in 1-2 rounds but right now i need someone for Malceski

TheHanger

SHAW or WATERS, Waters has shown this season that he has a high ceiling, which is nice and SHAW is SHAW right

Yeah i know waters seems like the safest bet. but now that collingwood have Nathan Brown, Nick Maxwell, Alan Toovey, Chris Tarrant and Ben Reid all playing in the same side, heath shaw is literally free to do whatever he wants, and we all know how well he can rack it up when he gets free :\

the decision is so hard! haha

I've been thinking of upgrading Ellis to either Waters or Johnson, stop a donut and finish off the defence for finals at the same time. Guess I'll go for Waters if Johnson's going to look shaky.

don't take my word for it. its just Dawson is out of the 2 for around 2 weeks and although silvagni is back in the side, this may affect Johnsons ability to get loose and rack up cheap possessions.
