I am considering to trade Hall out for Patton and upgraded Treloar for Beams. Don't get a load of cash from that downgrade but......

I think that Patton would play the majority of games for GWS for the rest of the year (giving me good bench coverage if needed during the finals) and that Hall is too much at the mercy of McKenna.

Treloar, I think has run his race, and will start to lose some coin and upgrading to Beams is a no-brainer.

Do any of you guys see any flaws in this logic (should I be hanging on to Treloar??) or do you think that Patton is not worth the $180K or might not play all of the remaining games for the season?

Fwd line at the moment without those trades: Sidey/Franklin/Robbo/WhiteX/Martin/Dangerfield/Zorko (Treloar/Hall)

Would like to hear your thoughts or if you have a better trading idea....feel free!!! :)

Mr.Craig

Can you move Treloar to your mids and trade him for Gibson? You'll make a heap of money that way. Or you could downgrade one of the rookies in your mids (maybe to a DPP like Crozier) and then upgrade Treloar to a premium. You can then use Zorko as cover in your mids/fwds.

I wouldn't consider Patton to be great bench cover, I doubt his scores will be that flash. Plus his cost doesn't make it worthwhile.

I disagree with the first bit, but agree with the 2nd bit. Treloar has only had one bad score, which was last week. But Beams is a no-brainer so make the trade.

Also, have you finished off your backline and midfield and rucks yet?? If you haven't then i'd work on that, as Zorko isn't scoring much worse than Beams so pushing him to the bench will just be a waste of money at this stage.

I think Pattons rice may be out-weighed due to the fact that he will play all games unless injury strikes, should expect good things from number 1 draft pick, he is built solid and should do well.

Thanks for the replies guys........... :)

My mids are finished but my backline needs a bit of work still. Unfortunately I have 4x rd13 backline and the others (Darley/Shaw/Wilkes) are still too low in price to upgrade and also, apart from Wilkes, the other two are playing this weekend.

I have got Horsley to offload in the mids for Gibson to give me the extra coin........

Current team is (with 7 trades and $254K):

Def: Goddard/Lids/Suckling/Birchall/Clarke/Hargrave/S.Shaw  (Darley/Wilkes)

Mids: Swan/Stanton/Watson/Ablett/Jelwood/Boyd  (Horsley/Sexton)

Ruck: Maric/Giles/Orren/Redden

Fwd: Franklin/Robbo/Sidey/WhiteX/Dangerfield/Martin/Zorko  (Hall/Treloar)

I suppose I could just sell Horsley and Hall to Gibson and Beams and leave it at that but my concern (not sure if justified) would be that Treloar could be rested just at a time when one of my fwds is injured and Treloar gets rested by Sheedy. I thought if I down grade him to Patton (whom I would think would play all of GWS matches for the remainder of the season) and get extra dosh from him to upgrade in my backline.

It's a long explanation and I hope it makes sense.......... :D

its me lads

from that i dont rate Hargrave or Clarke as keepers(i have hargrave)

Horsely to Gibson

Clarke to Waters

leaves you with approx 320 (if im correct)

then could go

Hall to Beams and you should have 40k left unless im a spud.

that way you get 2 premiums into your team save a donut in forward line and get rid of Horsely.

your backline is screwed bye-wise so bugger that, the only other problem is you are left with 4 trades left but you still get 2 premiums in.

then next week you could do Treloar to Gibson and whatever else from there.

hope i helped.

Thanks "it's me lads"........

That certainly could be the way to go. I'll have a play around with that kind of structure.

no problem, it always good to play around in the trade centre, sometime you find new plans that you can do.
