Was planning on turning Giles into Cox in 3 rounds time, but just noticed Sam Jacobs. Jacobs is priced at $348'300, LESS THAN GILES!! So is it worth getting him in this week, even more so if Giles is missing??

I'm certainly thinking about it. :-\

nostradamus

is sammy jacobs a worthless what  ??  :o

......but seriously, he is excellent value and if l didnt already have cox & maric l'd be seriously considering him

its me lads

well i have big Jaccobs and last year up to round 13 he had 1 100. then for the rest of the season he got 5 hundreds and a 99. Seems like a good finisher. speaking of rucks, im not sure if i should trade out Giles or Redden/orren for another premiuim ruckman.

If Giles would be sitting on your bench for the rest of the season I'd trade him. Gets you more $$$ and that's being wasted by just being a reserve.

Planning on keeping with Maric and Giles as starters with Redden and Stepho reserves so not getting in Sauce.

I have traded sandi to jacobs this week.

was going to go griffin but jacobs costs less and has far more job security.

here's hoping he finishes the yr like he did in 11. hell i need it

Started with Mummy and Jacobs (Giles Big O)
Haven't had to touch a thing!

Sammy Jacobs. Big Sauce.

He's leading the competition in hit-outs to advantage. Not doing much around the grounds much this year (yet!).
Not the worse pick, has (probaly) the best JS at the Crows being the only experienced ruckman and his form this year. All he needs is a few more touches and a goal a game, and bam! he's your new Cox. He has the potential, he just needs a few more touches around the grounds(apart from hit-outs).

He's worth a look, a punt, a risk. Don't go for it unless your pretty much out of contention for overall. You can expect solid scores every week(70-80??) but don't expect regular 90-100s until you see him get a bit more active and a better contributor.

He could be....But I'm liking Jon Griffen over him personally.

I would only do it if Giles isnt playing this week. Even still, i would rather hold and save that trade.

Their scores are basically the same, and if one of them is injured its just going to make you want to punch yourself in the face several times.

If youre going well with your trade count, yeah why not. But if youre starting to get low i would say no. I voted no.

Griffin. GriffIn. It's an i not an e.

...sorry it's like the 5th time I've seen you do it.

I'm tossing up between Jacobs and Griffin. Can you elaborate on why you think he's a better choice Windy?
My main concern is he will lose his spot when Sandi comes back. It might not be many games, but it's more than what Jacobs will miss.

Football Factory

Why not take a punt on Giles being as good as Jacobs and save a trade

Plastic Boy

Griffin has a higher ceiling, and will be guaranteed his spot for basically the remainder of the year

I prefer paying that little extra and getting security with Cox/Maric etc

Maric yes Cox no, Cox output is dropping off with nicnat in side if he fails to snag a goal or 2 his scores drop considerable. Nicnat is starting to ripen up nicely like a good red.
