Initially there will not be a time limit to taking your picks but if we begin to get short of time there will be a 24 hour limit on your picks (with a three strike policy, whereby your limit will be lowered to 18 hours)

I have stated in the opening post the above. We have a long time to get this done, so no need to rush yet. If it starts getting ridiculous (like 2 days without a pick) then i will deal with that.

Yeah but you have to have the rules set out IMO. Cant just say its starting to get ridiculous we'll change it now... Anywayz im learning a new skill patience ;)

the whole fun of the draft is that it's rolling along if everyone takes a day to pick then it just won't be as fun.

I reckon the end of the draft should probly take longer? more research involved to finalize later picks, early picks are easy

No it won't, but the worlds managed because everyone was committed to see this through, and everyone needs to do the same here. Just stick it out and the rewards will be great. ;) Plus, it gives you alot of time to think of a recruiting plan, so hopefully everyone is happy with the side they pick. ;)

There is a quicker way that you can get this draft done. Find a neutral member of FF to help with the draft and send your next pick to them. I could step down as drafting assistant to Spinking and do this job. One advantage of this is that you'll be able to get feedback immediately if the player you want isn't available.

let's say that Nails tells me that he wants Wayne Carey, but Noz has also told me that he wants Carey. I could tell Nails that Carey isn't available, and he'll have time to choose another player rather than finding out Carey isn't available right before his pick. If JBs-Hawks has told me the player he wants, we could whip through a whole heap of picks when Hawka comes on and takes his pick.

There would be a few rules in place, like you can't change your mind. This would stop people from sending picks purely to find out who is available.
