I am thinking:

This week D.Smith/Treloar > Beams & then next week OldMac/Shiel > Stanton + D.Smith/Treloar > Gibson

OR

This week Treloar > Beams, D.Smith > Thompson, OldMac/Shiel > Gibson

I'm just short this week of doing the double swap of D.Smith/Treloar to Beams/Thompson, do these options sound like a good contingency plan?

what is your position in the league? i.e. will you make top 4 without to many problems? if so then dont trade..
you need(or its ideal) to have 6 trades just for the finals,, with only 9 left.. it may be better to sit tight..  ofcourse if you are struggling to make the top 8, then you need to do whatever it takes to make the finals.
  have a look at the team u are playing this week and see if you can win the game without trading. OR if you will lose no matter what then it is also better to not trade..  i know i know trading is fun, but for league sometimes you need to be patient..

Currently sitting 6th in my league and I could probably win this week without those trades. However, I wouldn't say I will make top 4 with no problems, there are some very good teams above and even below me. I'm thinking of making these 3 trades and then sitting tight for a few weeks.

Wouldn't it be better to trade considering these rooks will drop in price and the premos will increase? Or is saving trades more important the price changes and upgrading?

u have 400k in the bank, a rookie moves down 10-20k , a premium goes up 10-20k  it really doesnt matter..
gibson isnt on the bubble yet, so better to wait 1 more week for him.. if you want 6 trades for the finals and u do 3 this week, it would mean u will have to go 6 rounds with no trades.. 6 rounds were injuries and suspensions and who knows what can happen..  maybe just do a single upgrade i.e. smith to beams than switch beams into the forwardline
