The Bomber

So we have a thread to get us down (http://www.fanfooty.com.au/forum/index.php/topic,62684.0.html) on our failure that we have had this year, but with the bad must come the good right???

So lets hear some happy trades people have made this year or gun picks.

Me first:
Starting with Sidey, Danger, Watson, Giles, Chapman
Not starting with Martin, Malceski
Not trading GAJ.
Bringing in an undervalued Pendles
Trading Shaw-->Bugg, then getting him back 50k cheaper. (150k made form that + points)...

brownmans muffins

DEF: starting out with Deledio > Newman; having Clarke and the two Richmond guys
MID: Pendles/Joel to start with and decent GWS rookies
RUCK: FMR?? - having Giles
FWD: ravaged by injuries to Fyfe,Goodes,Zaha - glad I took Sidey > Dusty, glad I jumped on Zorko

But Shaw then got injured again.... no certain that is a good move!

I'm jealous mostly, everything went wrong for me this year :) Cept Danger

Starting the year with Watson,Dangerfield,Giles,Waters and Deledio
Also starting the year with H Mac was great until he got injured.
Bringing in Zorko  ;D

A major one for me has been trading in the right premiums at the right time. Got Sidebottom and Dangerfield just before they started pumping out 100s consistently. Grabbed Riewoldt the week they played Gold Coast and got a nice 159, although last week was a bit of a bummer. Also picked up Waters before his recent 120+ scores.

Starting with Goddard, Deledio and Scotland was a risk considering the byes, but they have been almost my most solid picks all year. Also starting with Matthew Boyd in the middle has won me a few league games since no opponents have had him in their teams. Plus Chappy up forward was one guy a lot of people didn't recommend starting with, but grabbed him anyway and he's been very consistent.

I am also pretty happy with the downgrades I've made. Every week for the last month or so everyone on my bench has been playing. Trading in Zorko, Sexton, Shaw and Darley has saved my team.

Beats holding him through both injuries...

Jabbott

Traded Fyfe to Beams before round 6 once Fyfe got injured.
Was a hard decision, since I already had Sidebottom in forwards, but really paid off.
Since then, Beams has averaged 127, with only one score below 110..
Easily my best pick of the season so far!!

Griffo1982

Started with Jacobs & Giles as my starting ruck combo & havent had to worry about them all season.
Jumped on Sidebottom & Dangerfield from the injuries to Fyfe & Goodes & got them at their lowest price.
Picked up Mitchell, Dal Santo & Priddis at rock bottom prices to finish my midfield.

Bones Bombers

Switched McEvoy to Ryder and Martin to Mitchell about an hour before lockout rd1.
Giles has probably been better than expected as ruck 2.
Starting with Dangerfield and Deledio has worked out nicely as has Fyfe to Sidey.
Had some great cashcows along the way and the Richmond boys have played every week.
Been a pretty good year really, haven't been affected by too many of the injuries.

colmullet

When Fyfe first went down i traded him to Roughy....who then was able to cover 2 would be donuts when Sandi was out the first time....that saved me some pain for sure

big_cox21

starting nic nat so consitant
not starting with dusty
starting shuey i think has been a great success
marty clarke

remon tea

Starting with Ryder and Sidebottom.

Not having Smedts and Ledger.
Not bring in Spurr - feel for those who did bring him in.

Jroo

Starting with Sloane and Sidebottom, Lake
Trading in Dal Santo at rock bottom and has scored: 130, 83, 112, 130
Not Trading Ablett
Trading in Beams for Goodes

Good thread! I tend to automatically look at all the bad from the season and missed opportunities but there are some good ones aswell!

My favourite move was getting zorko in. Wasnt convinced on his JS or scoring ability at first but hes certainly proved both now and become a keeper at F7

Capper

Before R7 i traded out Ellis and Polec, both of their prices fell after their R7 game.

I got in Horsley and Adams who were great cash cows
