Miles and Clifton were locks early in the season planning -  clearly in the best 22 for GWS I thought..

i know Clifton got injured, but what's the delay now...thought he would be back..

can anyone shed any light on these two....

I'm sure EVERYone is hanging out for some downgrade targets...and these two are still top of my list, but can't get a handle on where they are really at ??

any help out there ?? :P

Cicjose

so far down the pecking order that you should abandon all hope ye who enter here..........

Fenno

Not sure Miles will be seen again but Clifton shouldn't be far away

Ricochet

they're both still on the come back from injuries.
they should be back into it over the next couple of weeks.

Windigo

Both have been injured.

But Miles wasn't  for the start of the year, I think Sheedy hates him.  :P

monstrum

Clifton injured his wrist then played in the 2's and injured his knee im pretty sure

henry

I heard somewhere (may well have been here) that Clifton has been surpassed by the younger blokes so it will be tough for him to break in. It seems likewise with miles who is out of favour with Sheedy for some reason. It would be nice for some downgrade targets though.

monstrum

I think he played bout 3 games in the 2's

felsty

Miles DE dreadful, particularly his kicking. Same problem as Couch, their intent and work rate is good but their skills aren't up to AFL standard..

GWS wouldn't recruit him from the VFL and take him away from his family/friends ect without having the intent to play him.
He'll play in the next 3 weeks.

Windigo

In the NEAFL last year, Shiel had a disposal efficiency of 72%. Miles 71%.

Miles also averaged 119 super coach, Shiel 124.

Pretty similar, but depends how they adapt to AFL I guess....

That would have been the intention, but they may now have realised the younger kids have surpassed him. I hope I;m wrong and you're right though, as I said he woild be a good downgrade target.

DT Gun

they arent going to win, so why not play the players with the most potential to develop..

Yes Miles and Shiel averaged similar SC but shiel is an absolute superstar of the future

they're playing melbourne this week :P

Screech

I don't know where people get their "FACTS" on Sheedy and Miles. He has had one game this year and scored 89 DT points. He is listed as having a knee injury and is available for selection as of this week, ie, round 13. Whether or not he gets selected is another thing entirely all together. Kennedy is another one who has been listed as test for a couple of weeks now but seems to have a lingering shoulder injury that got worse when he played last match. That could be a reason why they are more cautious with him this time round. Others like Clifton are injured but stilll have a few weeks to go apparantly before coming up for selection.
