Current Team:

Defs: Deledio, Goddard, Waters, Hargrave, Carrazzo, Heppell, S Shaw (Darley, Spurr)
Mids: Stanton, Boyd, Ablett, Cotchin, Thompson, Pendles (Sexton, Miles)
Rucks: Jacobs, Giles (Redden, Stephensen)
Forwards: Franklin, Sidey, Robbo, Beams, Danger, Martin, Zorko (Hall, Elliot)

5 Trades left and 41,200 in the bank.

This round was thinking Sexton -> Gibson
Then maybe upgrading Hargrave or Martin
Not really sure.. Anyone have any advice?

Cheers! :D

I really think you should hold, 5 trades is absolutely nothing...
You have a decent team and at this stage you should be copping donuts over trading...
You could get Gibson in this week and save a donut or you can wait a week or two to be sure he'll play. If you really want to trade, just do that one.

Thanks mate, will probably just do that trade. :D

Have you given any thought into downgrading Hall to Gibson instead, this will leave you with just short of 200k in the bank.

This would allow you to upgrade either one of Shaw or Darley to a true premium in a few rounds.
Or alternatively upgrade Spurr to a Grima this week

If you downgrade Sexton youll only have 127K, i think that you may fall just a little short to get one of the true premiums in a few week with that amount of cash

I thought of that, but I'm pretty sure Gibson is just a mid player, and Hall is just a fwd player..

Scratch what I just said, figured out a way to trade Hall -> Gibson.

Lions01

Yer just dual position them around, i really think this maybe you best option. The extra cash should come in handy

jacksonmcguire

Yeah, got there eventually :P

What are people's thoughts on Grima as a possible defence upgrade?

Juddster5

If I were you I wouldn't seriously consider getting Nathan Grima in. Better options out there for a little bit more $

Nah just stick with that one downgrade trade. You can get Carrazzo in for cheap and Grima has way too many risks. You need to be getting good players at a good price.

dmagnus

yeah do the one trade and hold the money, opportunities may present down the road

Lions01

I only put Grima up as an example of who you could get. If i were you I'd hold out for a couple of weeks and let Darley mature and get in a true premium like Scotland Birchall etc

Short term pain and your side will be a lot better when you make hat final trade. Apart from that I'd leave the final 3 trades for injury and don't get tempted into another downgrade/upgrade option as 3 trades wont be enough

Did you even look who he's scored his points against in the first 12 rounds?? You cant just say he's playing easier teams now he will ave more. It hasnt turned out that way for most players this year have a look at some of the guns scores agains GWS/MELB etc...

This includes martin
Ave 91 against carlton, collingwood, cats, wc, sydney & hawks all tough teams
and
Ave 77 against melb, port adelaide, essondon, freo, st kilda & GWS who are clearly the "easier" teams. So now you have the facts in front of you what do you base your comment on???

Justin Bieber

Yeah Martin gets lazy against the good teams.

Kills it in big games.

plays 6 bottom 8 teams on the way home, has played i dare say the top 10 teams of 2012 already this year, its a good draw

Gold Coast, Melb, North, Brisbane, Bulldogs, Port to come

I personally think he has an easier run home..

He plays 6 crap teams on the way home and he has only played 3 so far...

GWS have proven they dont give away a lot of points this year

I based my comment on the draw as stated.

If you think its a good idea to trade out Martin cos he is coming up against crap teams be my guest!
