Who?

nick haynes, the late withdrawal from GWS

Didn't think he was DT relevant...

Why? Was a mid/fwd, had played 1 game as the sub, scored alright, would only get better and was priced at about ~130k and had already had his bye.

Very DT relevant, you just weren't paying attention. :)

Never saw one thread though...  :-X

Do you always rely on someone else to tell you who to watch out for though? No one made a thread about Toby Greene either until after his first 2 games :P

Bootsma wasn't mentioned in any threads and he was pretty DT releveant too until this week. Brennan from west coast has actually played through the bye rounds which is all people wanted from him and he hasn't been mentioned often either.

Windigo

Pretty sure I had Toby Greene locked in but got talked out of by the Fan Footy Faithful saying he had dodgy JS.  :(

Justin Bieber

Bootsma got attention, I knew about Greene just everyone said he had no JS. Brennan had talk, but died down.

What about Gray? Both of you (windi and whatlez) talked him up. Without you two, wouldn't have got much of a mention. Either way the point is, just because you don't know about someone doesn't mean they aren't DT relevant and if I was the OP, I would be pretty peed off because he clearly traded him in just for him to miss the week and likely now have really bad JS

Sabmac

Nobody talked up Haynes because of this exact reason.

Because he had bad JS, not because he would be a late withdrawl for some reason?

haha yeah, i had him earmarked the year before when he blitzed the u18 championship, but when he went behind all the other mids (tyson/hoskin elliot/conigs etc) i thought he'd never get a decent go in the mids espec with ward/palmer/scully/old mac

has shown that he is and will be an absolute jet though :( should've started with him sigh

Nick Haynes is a 19-year-old forward from the Dandenong Stingrays in Victoria.

Represented Vic Country at the NAB AFL U18 Championships as a 19-year-old after playing locally with the Frankston Bombers at senior level in 2010.

He has great agility, takes a good overhead mark and shows very good running and aerobic capacity.

In the TAC Cup he averaged 17.4 disposals and six marks with the Stingrays, winning his club’s best and fairest award.

The GWS GIANTS selected Nick with their selection number 7 in the 2011 NAB AFL Draft.
