Was set on the Morris - Shaw trade all week, but having second thoughts.

My main concerns going forward are the JS of the players coming in. I already have Spurr sitting on the pine and am worried about another quick cash making endeavour going sour.

I have 13 trades and $13,000 in the bank.

Morris - Shaw (Gives me a nice collect $173,000. Morris has terrific JS if he can get over his recent injury and could be a reliable bench option going forward)

Ellis - Shaw (Smaller collect but still has some money to make. Similar boat to Morris could play a good role on the bench for later in the year.

Townsend - Shaw (Out with a jaw injury. Unsure when or if he will return and is a very slow fattening cow. I generally never downgrade unless I make at least $100k however)

what does your backline look like?  if you need a d7, i would keep morris personally, as he seems the most reliable and has js.  for d8 shaw + ellis will be adequate, i take it.  hard to gauge where shaw is at, but if you think he will lock a spot and show some consistency, could make a good d8 as well
i have voted for ellis as the extra cash is nothing to laugh at, but i qualify my vote with the above

Does anyone know how long Townsend could be out for. I remember the incident down in Geelong, it was a jaw and I'm not sure if it was broken or not?  :-\

This is all I could find.

Cull Morris. Shaw should have as good JS as Morris given that Adelaide are going to rest players. Young guns like him will start getting consistent games, not that he hasn't, but more likely to hold his spot...

I'm in the same boat, but a bit better off, with only Ellis, townsend and Darley for my rooks. I got rid of Townsend to let Ellis fatten up a bit more. Saying that I can move Smedts back when I trade Ellis if a rookie fwd presents himself. I agree, don't like trading rooks that haven't made enough cash, but not knowing Townsends jaw situation, I decided to just get rid of him. This probably doesn't help you much, does it? :o

Edit: just remembered Morris isn't playing this week and has the bye next week, so cull him if you need the cash.

Mentions here 4 weeks for the jaw. Would be nice if he did a Parker and returned in 2 weeks. He has been highly rated by Sheeds and I think he should get more games when he returns from injury. I think Morris looks like getting the chop.
