BACKS - Goddard,Deledio,Heppell,Malceski,Lake,Clarke,Morris   (Ellis,Darley)

MIDS - Ablett,Selwood,Pendlebury,Cotchin,Priddis,JMac          (Adams,Horsely)

RUCKS - Cox,Giles   (Redden,Big O)

FWDS - Franklin,Dangerfield,Sidebottom,Chapman,Pavlich,Treloar,Zorko  (Saad,Smith)

So far going Eski/Clarke > S.Shaw (already went Magner >Priddis)
Then               Ellis > round12 def
                       Smith + Horsely > round 12 mid + fwd
Thinking about keeping Morris even though I'll cop a donut as Darley/Shaw don't look too reliable at this stage.
Still not happy with Cox but I have to fix my defence first

Over 600 K in the bank and 14 trades after Eski/Clarke > S.Shaw.A bit too cautious with trades so far but hopefully that will pay off.
Potential targets include O'Keefe,Goodes,Fisher,Grimes,M.Johnson,H.Shaw,Swan,JPK,Mumford and even Barlow. (and Zaha when he comes back)

Cheers guys.

With 14 trades your in a good position.  IMO, give Priddis a skip, there are superior options, and you have enough trades that you don't really need to look for "value"

Wait until Friday, but I would probably be looking at.

Eski > Shaw, I like it stops a donut.
McDonald/Horsley > Gibson (yes I would gamble on it, if you do this early you can do 3 upgrades next week).

Then do mass R12 upgrades in R13.

Swan, Josh Kennedy, Watson, SJ, Beams, MJ, along those lines.

Thanx CS. I know there are better options than Priddis, but only Thompson and Boyd have had their bye. Keeping Magner this round would give me a donut. Boyd finishes season slow and his efficiency is woeful. I think Priddis can match Thompson and the money saved will be really useful later on, eventhough I have trades up the sleeve.

As a Bombers supporter I'm spewing I didn't have Watson from the start, but as a supporter I know how much we rely on him and how dodgy his Hammies are. Call me superstitious but I know if I trade him in he'll wreck not only my SC but Bombers season as well if he gets injured.

Like the idea of 3 upgrades next week, but still need confirmation that Gibson will last 7+ games. I mean why, if he's that good and North have been so crap, have they not played him earlier? Also worried he could be sub/subbed despite being mature age and get 20-30 whereas Horsely should get 75+. J Mac I want at least 1 more rise out of.

Keep the suggestions coming as they are much appreciated.

TRADE THIS WEEK: Malceski - Sam Shaw   / SUB: Chapman and Adams so you save one donut in fwd line.

Thats about it, I would definately bring in Swan,Boyd or Thompson next week as Thomo and Boyd will drop in price for waiting a week and obviously Swan has a bye.

I don't mind Priddis, money is an issue if you want the best FWDS and DEFS and one of those 3 MIDS and you still need 4 more defender premiums and 2 more fwd premiums and possibly redden to a premium second ruck.

Didn't realise you have Magner.   IMO, take a punt on Gibson early and don't look back on decision.

Magner > Gibson
Eski > Shaw

and skip the R11 premiums.  All rookies are going to have the exact same issues with JS and you need to treat them equally.

You have the luxury of 14 trades, don't have any fear when trading.  Choose best possible premiums, chances are they will come from R12.

Cheers Colli. Can't sub Chappy and Adams as I have Pendles and Selwood there already. Just have to cop hopefully my only 0 for this round.

UPDATED -

Goddard,Deledio,Heppell,Lake,Clarke,Ellis,Morris,    (Darley,Shaw)

Ablett,Pendlebury,J.Selwood,Priddis,Cotchin,Horsely  (JMac,Adams)

Cox,Giles  (Redden,Stephenson)

Franklin,Pavlich,Dangerfield,Sidebottom,Chapman,Zorko,Saad  (Smith,Treloar)

621 K 14 trades.

This round - Ellis > Adcock/Grimes (want H.Shaw but rather see him play a game after long break and hopefully fall a bit in price, also need Goodes)
               - Horsely > Watson/JPK/Swan

               - Smith/Treloar > Patton   - leaves about 230 K depending on exact trades

Next round - Smith/Treloar > Goodes
                 - JMac > Gibson (if he stays)
Then        - Clarke > H.Shaw
                - Adams > Clifton ( if named)
Then         - Redden > Mumford/other ruck

What do u think?

Patton not worth the premium rookie price IMO.

Personally, I would consider taking MJ over Adcock/Grimes.  Has had only 1 score under 90 SC for the entire season, and is much more durable.

If you wanted Adcock, you really should have taken him in R12 to maximize bye scoring.  Bit illogical grabbing him now.

1 mid and 1 back upgrade makes sense, would wait and see which rookies are available before making decision.

Scrooge Ubeaut! Fancy having so much money squirreled away!

Maybe Morris out for Waters / H Shaw this round - saves one donut and gets a much needed upgrade.

Horsley out for Swan - same as above.

Team will be 2 premiums closer to complete and will score a lot higher this week.

Ha didn't plan on having so much cash, just happened that way with injuries, waiting for players due to byes etc. Would love to be able to trade Morris and avoid donut BUT with only Darley and Shaw as cover Morris will be alot more reliable. He or Ellis have to go but can't afford to upgrade them both AND get a Prem Mid.

ALSO need to get rid of Smith and Treloar as they are losing money esp. Smith. Patton is expensive but has the best JS there is no-one else. And if I do this I get Goodes next round and only have Zorko in terms of rookies on field.

Cheers for input keep it coming

Cheers again. I KNOW I should have got Adcock last round. Was uming and ahing and stupidly got put off the idea. He is in form now, and has still managed a 90+ avg in average form before this(including an injury affected score). We know what he is capable of. Two big scores vs Hawks and Eagles proves this. I KNOW it seems illogical getting him now, but not if he avgs close to 100 from now. Better to just accept I made a mistake not getting him last week and just get him now. However, MJ HAS been solid, just he's not a proven prem and that worries me. Look at how many people jumped on Whitecross/Pearce/etc then got burned. What u think of Grima?

He won't average 100, and high chance he will miss games with "general soreness"

Look at MJ's underlying stats.  Only ONE score under 90 against a full strength Carlton side.  People jumped on Clancee after a 5 game sample size, I don't know how you can make the same comparison.  We are half way through the season, and he is in the top 4 defenders based on TOTAL.

If you want proven premiums Adcock/Grimes/Grima does not even fit that category.

At the end of the day its your call.

Cheers again for advice. Curious tho, as to why u think Adcock won't avg 100? He is more than capable. Last 3 games avg 108 against quality opposition. Is it cos Black comes back?
