Holz

My team is essentially screwed this week so I might as well try and help others out. Ask away and I will answer all questions when I log on next.

Why, like me, are you up at this time?

If you could have a look at my team and make some suggestions I'd appreciate it.. http://www.fanfooty.com.au/forum/index.php/topic,62068.0.html

Hey Holzman

What do you think of these trades?

This week:
Sandi -> Minson (Giles is my other ruck)
Clarke -> s shaw
(Gives me 408k)

Next
Shiel -> Swan
Morris -> defender ~ 400k, broughton? (already have duffield)

If Gibson is named I'd probably downgrade Devon and get cox instead of Minson. No I won't due to lock out, would you take Griffen or Minson?

Cheers!

Hey Holz
After all the carnage with ruckmen this year i was thinking of trading sandi to a POD like griffin or goldy?
Which do u reckon would be the best choice?
Cheers

Chelskiman

This a good move?

Morris > S. Shaw
Zaharakis > Dangerfield

$135,300 - 8 Trades

ok waters definitely keep him. Lewis i would have trade out last week but now you have to keep him.  First think i would do is drop zaharakis to dangerfield, saves you a donut and i think you get a slightly better player. Now sandi has to go and that a problem im struggling with but i think if you can afford it cox is the best option. Now horse could play and if he does than i would downgrade marty clarke to sam shaw. If Horse doesnt play its very risky but i would think about horse to gibson (but clarke to shaw is a much better trade).

It leaves you with 2 which isnt that bad for a MBR.

I would really appreciate some help to mate, cheers

First up I wouldnt trade ellis, but I would get rid of spurr i cant see him playing and going spurr to sam shaw will make you a little cash and will save you a donut this week and next.

The next trade really depends on who is name if horse or d.smith arent named than go to gibson. If are both named than I would go smedts to gibson as i can see smedts struggling to get games.

These guys (Spurr, smedts) wont make you as much cash but if they dont play they are only causing you donuts.

Hmac to Cox is a good option but if you want to save 70k i think goldy is nearly as good and griffin at 120k cheaper is abit of a risk but it could pay off big as if sandi is out all year griffin could average similar to cox.

whish i could answer this easily is something I have been tossing up about. Goldy I think will average around 100 for the next 5-6 weeks but with Hmac back he is a little bit of an unkown. I dont think he will drop anywhere as low as the start of the season but I wouldnt be suprside to see him only average 75-85.

Griffin is more of a risk without sandi he coudl average anywhere from 80-100 and Im not sure what zach clarke will do. If sandi was out for the season I would say griffin easy, but sandi is listed as a 10 week injury, what if he recovers quickly and its only 6? The difference i can see is griffin has a chance of being dropped and screwing you up. If I had lots of trades left I think I would go griffin and have an extra trade up my sleeve in case sandi comes back and outs him in the DT finals. I dont have the trades so im going Goldy (plus im a biased roo fan).

First up Gibson will be named and Im pretty sure you will get team an hour or so before lockout anyway. So based on that get cox. Minson is a very interesting pick just looked at his stats and he is a very viable option. Griffin, Goldy, Cox all have the potential to outscore him but he looks a very solid optiion. But if you want Gibson I would be incredibly suprsied if he isnt playing this week. I have the kangaroo feed on my facebook and they have basically said he will definately play.

Hmm this is a difficult one as you have spurr and i dont see him coming back but if you not reall6y concerned about getting high ranked than you can probably afford to keep him.

The trades you have said are really good, but i think of trades a little bit differently due to my strategy being very ranking based.

Another potential option i would say would be marty clarke down to sam shaw and if scotland is a late withdrawal than you have cover.  Than the next week you can go sexton to sam gibson and upgrade morris to broughton, grimes etc...

So your moves definitely aren't bad im just giving you a second option.

Hey Holz,
Should I trade in Boyd this week or wait until next week and get Swan in?

ouch thats a hard one, I would say you would want Swan, Ablett and Boyd in if you can, to me they are clearly the best 3 mids. The good news for you is you lnly have 4 mids so you can get both so whatever one you dont get now you can get later.  i looked at their upcoming draw and they both should score well, so really it doesnt matter which one you go. If you could only get 1 i would go swan but boyd is a little bit cheaper. They have similar BEs so i dont see that helping your decision.  I would pick up Swan next week just becasue I think he will go up slightly in price and Boyd may go down a tiny bit. But really it doesnt matter get both soon.
