I traded ablett to Murphy then he stinks it out and gets injured, so I trade back tablet in

Then I upgrade a rook to Scotland then the next week he gets injured.

Fine with that. But then the shower ass club lie and say he is out for at least 3 weeks, so I trade him out, only for him to be named the next week.

Seriously Carlton I hope you miss the 8, always been a 1 man team, now your a zero man team.

Carlton didn't lie when they said Scotland was out for 3 weeks - what would they have to gain from that? He simply recovered faster than they thought a veteran would. Also I reckon he is no certainty to plau and I suspect he will be a late withdrawal but we'll have to wait and see. The blues are desperate to win though.

West Coast still find out tonight if he's named. They would be preparing for either situation anyway. You made a mistake, we all do from time to time, as dt gun says buikd a bridge and get over it. Your conspiracies are getting ridiculous.

My DT onle ever has Scotland and i traded him out too. Showers me but what can you do, teach me to not be a TRUE Collingwood supporter and NEVER have any Carlton player in my DT.

I had Murphy in SC that didn't work out too well for me either :)

Seriously likely to get Carrots into my defence in 2-3 weeks tho so obviously haven't learnt my lesson yet.

he's actually probably right- that's the only reason that coaches would ever really bother to mess with team line ups, and injury lists- at an elite level, especially between high class teams, the actual difference between the teams is comparitively minimal, so, especially if you believe you're bad off, you try everything to get yourself an advantage.

of course they would have been preparing for scotland, but at the same time they also had to prepare for scotlands replacement, including estimating who that replacement would be.

you just shouldn't have traded ablett :P

Fireballz

Yeah given Scotland's form this year I was never going to trade him out for a 3 week injury. You just have to cop it sweet and save the trades with your guns. Kept Ablett, kept Scotland, keeping Pendles. If there's anything I've learnt it's that DT is a patient man's game.
But agree that Carlton are naughty if they were untruthful about Scotland's injury on purpose.

mmurphy3

Carlton lied to stuff ur dreamteam up
So complaing and shutup

fertalong

It seems you are trading at the first hint of injury - Ablett, then murphy, then now scotland. Maybe it's your fault and not Carlton's?

So far i've had ablett, swan, pendles, murphy and scotland, and guess what? I held onto all but murphy and they have all worked out so far. Obviously still waiting on pendles for r13, but my point is, I was patient and saved myself 3 trades and all the grief that you are experiencing.

Perthwildcat

The AFL injury site said three weeks.  My golden rule is never trade under 4 weeks for a primo.  Stupid is as stupid does.

To class it as a 3-4 wk injury as they reported, implies that it is a significant strain/tear. The healing process of the body does not allow a signficant calf injury (3-4 wks) to heal after 1. So they most likely were being extremely cautious with him (probably given his age) and overestimated the extent of the injury and therefore the recovery time (or they were being funny buggers). Either way i get the frustration you have, after all we can only go on the information given to us.

Kuruki

Of course they were playing funny buggers teams do it all the time. How often do they name a player that is not even on the plane to the game. It happens all the time and it has everything to do with gamesmanship.

Windigo

Trading him out with the information you had at hand was the most logical thing you would do.

No one would have predicted this. Your down a trade, but hopefully got a gun defender anyway.  ;)
