bought in Spurr when he was on the bubble he played that game and has never played since. Is it worth trading out Spurr to Sam Shaw??? Thoughts

Spurr was never going to be a good pick. He had suban, silvagni, lower etc coming back and wasn't going to hold his spot. Lots of people we looking for downgrades and he happened to be the best option at the time.

If you're unlucky enough to be one of those, it's probably best to just hold him and stick if out if he's D9. If he's D8 then go with Shaw.

Add Ibbotson to that list he was contending with.

Yeah really suprised so many jumped on Spurr and Bootsma their JS was never going to be good.

Justin Bieber

Happy I kept Ellis/Morris tbh.

What if you downgrade him to another rookie and that rookie gets dropped.. Double Fail!

Best to count your losses at 1 trade..

Who knows he might play 2-3 more games i mean duffield got the axe who knows

CrowsFan

Agree with DT Gun.

On the other hand if you are upgrading him then I'm all for that, even though he has only had 1 price rise

Possumo

Yeah I guess everyone was so keen on making hay from Bugg, Ellis and Morris, and despite the lack of good downgrade options they were desperate for the cash/upgrade. Having said that, they could all possibly come back and play some games later in the season, and who knows maybe they will play more games than Sam Shaw by the end of the season? Still, I've definitely held onto Ellis and Morris myself, and I brought in Shaw for Clarke this week, so I'm definitely hoping he'll be a better pick!

PowerBug

If he's your 9th defender there isn't much point in trading him. I'm in that situation with Tomlinson, hardly plays but hasn't made enough money for me to do anything with him. :(

11kgm

i upgraded him to hurn to give me a nice defender

Windigo

Always was gunna be a bit dodgy.

But the same was said for Jacob Brennan of the Eagles.

Played 5 games and he was 'supposed' to have less JS than Spurr.  ::)

On that PB, i will be getting rid of mclarke in a few weeks and one of morris/spurr this week, either one of them will be my D8/D9 with Sam Shaw, is it worth getting more cash from morris, or ditching spurr due to not playing?

Personally, i won't be worrying about a D9, M8, R4, and F9 as i believe with suitable first bench players, i'll survive. So ditch Morris if you are happy with Shaw being your D8. :)

That is why i am holding Tomlinson, as he is usless but at D9 he does no wrong, and his Back/Fwd is invaluable.

Cheers PB, you just gave me a great idea for a trade strategy. :)
