New Rookie elevations ??

Now that round 11 has passed clubs are allowed to elevate a rookie on to their senior list even if they dont have a player with an LTI.

As an Essendon supporter l would say that Brendan Lee and Mark Baguley would be the most likely to get the nod.

Which players at your club do you think might be in the running for promotion?

yeah l think he deserves it too.......and we need some decent mid downgrade options too, especially cheap as chips ones like him

keep an eye out for Baguley if he's elevated, he's a def/mid mpp mature ager who is highly rated and bargain priced too

.....the only problem is that realistically its hard to see him getting much of a chance at essendon unless there are some injuries, especially with hibberd still to return

Hopefully won't have to rely on rookie elevation for our teams, with Mitchell, Couch, Docherty to come in soon.

Agreed Jukes, l rate all 3 of them highly, but......

Mitchell (even though he's a jet) faces a wait before getting a game according to longmre in a recent interview ......l almost hope he's held off until next year

Docherty.....all reports are that he's had alot of setbacks and needs to improve his fitness base before being looked at, which is a real shame as we reallly need some quality defensive downgrade targets

Couch....we'll who really knows, how much more does the bloke have to do?? ......makes you wonder what he's done wrong, maybe he did a "wayne carey" with the coaches wife or something  :o

Lez was going on about hoping Mitchell won't play for this season so we have him for next year, but don't worry about rooks as much next year. This draft is supposed to be as good as the 2001 draft which gave us lads like Swanny, GAJ, Judd, Bartel, Stevie J, Hodgey, Montagna, Ball, Mitchell, Kelly etc.

If he smashes it in the seconds, he would have to be considered this year.  Just an injury or a dramatic form slump of a player might give him his chance.  My feelings are after the byes sometime.

Yeah injury or form will help open the door but the midfield has been Sydney's most consistent area this season
