I thought I would have a go - I tried to pick players in their positions (not put midfielders in the forward line etc)

B: Heath Grundy, Ted Richards, Grant Birchall
HB: Beau Waters, Luke McPharlin, Brent Reilly
C: Dane Swan, Jobe Watson, Scott Thompson
HF: Dayne Beams, Lance Franklin, Lewis Jetta
F: Drew Petrie, Matthew Pavlich, Jordan Lewis
Foll: Sam Jacobs, Gary Ablett, Scott Pendlebury
Inter: Dean Cox, Rory Sloane, Sam Mitchell, Patrick Dangerfield

Lots of apologies (in no particular order)

Michael Johnson, Chris Mayne, Scott Thompson (NM), Joel Selwood, Steve Johnson, Ben Rutten, Nathan Jones, Heath Shaw, Steele Sidebottom, Kieren Jack, Josh P Kennedy, Heath Scotland, Chris Judd, Brett Deledio, Ivan Maric, Trent Cotchin, Nick Dal Santo, Nick Reiwoldt, Lenny Hayes, Matthew Boyd, Ryan Griffen, Scott Selwood, Matthew Priddis, Wil Schofield, Josh Gibson, Matt Suckling

But Heath Grundy has been terrible  :-X

haha ok cheers mate, just thought some of those crows in there was a bit dubious and it sounded like a bloody one-eyed crows supporter move to me... but i definitely don't agree with reilly and sloane, and to a lesser extent, danger.

If you read the beginning part I was picking players based on position.  I think people are under-estimating the performance of Reilly.  Gotta remember that the AA selection panel always choose a lot of players from the top 4.  (sad but it's true)

I am a Freo supporter and could have put Johnson and Mayne in the side (I actually think Mayne will make it - 31goals, 3 behinds and 57 tackles for the season)

Quote from: Torpedo10 on July 29, 2012, 03:39:35 PMMate, either Sloane or Mitchell should go out for Cotchin. Also JPK could almost top Pendles this year with his efficiency. Maric has been pretty good this year, I reckon he could almost sneak in.

Cotchin and JPK were hard choices to omit but could easily come in to replace Danger and Sloane (hence they were on my apologies list)  Maric was my 3rd choice ruckman behind Jacobs and Cox (also on the apologies list)

But Heath Grundy has been terrible  :-X

He is 8th in the AFL for rebound 50s, averages 5 x 1% per game and a disposal efficiency percentage of 79%.

Really 79%?

that team is just about spot on IMO

Boyd, Deledio and JPK very unlucky though, maaaaybe Sloane and Grundy could come out of there but apart from that it looks spot on

Justin Bieber

The guy on that FB page was making nominations for each player.

He gave Heath Shaw, Matt Suckling, Beau Waters and Corey Enright as half backs.

Is that guy dumb? Waters is the only one who you can consider ::)

I gave him a ear full and said where's McPharlin, Reilly, Birchall etc.

He was getting so much shower with putting Maric as AA ruckman and leaving out Jacobs and Cox. As well as, saying Petrie isn't good enough.

I actually really like that page. I mean, the guy doesn't even get paid for it but he still wants to dedicate every spare minute to updating FB users on what is happening in the AFL world, and additional segments like "Who's Hot, Who's Not and Unsung Hero", and his weekly match previews, match reviews and Brownlow-style votes.

Yeah he is good, but his All- Australian potential was horrible.
