Total

West Coast â€" 2

Gold Coast â€" 1
St. Kilda â€" 1

Missing out â€" Western Bulldogs, Brisbane, GWS, Port, Geelong, North

Mitch Clark has been excellent in a poor team and can also be 2nd ruck, that's why he is on the field. Jack Riewoldt has been inconsistent but still good and is lucky with last place. Geelong don't get any players because they have been playing good footy as a team this year, with no real big standouts. Rory Sloane is probably lucky to be on the field but he has been one massive improver this year along with Jetta, Danger, Rance, Kennedy and Maric, but I wouldnt be surprised if some of the old guard below in Swan, Boyd etc. boot them out eventually. Jordan Lewis is a bit of a filler as a defensive forward as he can lock down opponents but still win a lot of the footy and kick goals.

Unlucky to miss out â€" Boyd, Swan, Cotchin, Grigg, Cox, Ebert, Scott and Joel Selwood, Chappy, Johnson, Thompson, Hayes, Ward, Walker, Hawkins, Crameri, Pav, Redden, Robinson, Jamar, Richards

I may sound biased but McPharlin has to be ahead of Rance for CHB.

Rd 1: JPod - 2
Rd 2: Sam Reid - 3
Rd 3: J Brown - 0
Rd 4: NRoo - 1
Rd 5: A Walker - 2
Rd 6: Sam Day - 1
Rd 7: J Westhoff - 1
Rd 8: Buddy - 1
Rd 9: J Darling - 2 (1 as he played on around Dawson)
Rd 10: T Walker - 4 (2 from free kicks from other players late in 4th quarter)
Rd 11: J Roo - 1

Rance just had 6 kicked on him by Pav - who most people say is past his best ;)

I'd say Rance gets more noticed, due to his massive improvements in an upcoming side.

Not denying Rance has improved but I still don't think he is better than McPharlin.  I also didn't think Reid was better than McPharlin last year either but that's just re-hashing a dead and buried conversation.

What about Grant Birchall.

Been super solid all year, very underated.

I would have Birchall or Suckling in ahead of Goddard

I'd tend to agree with that. Goddard hasn't been that good this year.

I would have Birchall or Suckling in ahead of Goddard

Considering danger has spent his whole time in the mids why would he be named in a forward pocket?

Cos the silly selection panel always pick midfielders in half back flanks and forward pockets :P

But on the Birchall matter.

Should be in before players like Michael Johnsoon and BJ Goddard

Second BOG according to coaches? Was 3rd last week.

Oberall Birchall has 17 votes. Probs more than most half backs (excludes lids)

tbagrocks

only a little bias but I think if Tex keeps his form going he would be hard to leave out

I agree Birchall should be ahead of Goddard (this year) but dont underestimate Johnson this year, he is having a great year.  Look at his stats:

- 2nd at the club for disposals
- 1st at the club for marks (2nd in the comp)
- 1st at the club for TOG (3rd in the comp)
- 1st at the club for defensive rebounds (7th in the comp)
- 2nd at the club for 1 % plays (2nd to Dawson who leads the comp)

You could argue the exact same for Ted Richards though.

Round 1: 0
Round 2: 1
Round 3: 2
round 4: 1
round 5: 0 (franklin)
round 6: 5 (his worst performance so far against the impressive Taylor Walker)
round 7: 2
round 8: 0
round 9: 2
round 10: 0
round 11: 0

Could argue the same thing for Rutten as FB. As far as I can tell he has had these goals scored against him...

Round 1 - 0
Round 2 - 0
Round 3 - 0
Round 4 - 0
Round 5 - 1 (Schulz)
Round 6 - 0
Round 7 - 0 (Hawkins)
Round 8 - 1
Round 9 - 0 (Cloke)
Round 10 - 0
Round 12 - 0

As far as I can tell, Schulz and Kreuzer are the only players who have managed to score a goal against Rutten this season...

Tominator

no love for Scotty Thompson? He has been gunning it - has had some off games yes but when he does well he does really well
