A bloke on DT talk called Boomer (probs a North supporter) told me Gibson could get upgraded to the roos senior list and debut as early as this week. At 85k would be a great downgrade target as it seems unclear when and if T.Mitchell and Couch will play. If he gets games and shows something I'll be definitly getting him in for Horse.

2 large cokes

should of been getting a game all season imo. ripped up the nab cup and although he isn't the most efficient bloke he can find the ball. surely after there form the kangas will have to cut a few blokes and give others a go you would think..

Tominator

Magner out for Gibson after his two games - the Magnet has clearly done his dash now

Couch may even get a game soon, as Magner is looking really tired and may need a break. In pre-season, Neeld said they are very similar players but there may not be enough room for them both to play in the same team. I reckon (and hope!) Couch will play in next 3-4 weeks

PLAYERS like Hawthorn's Amos Frank and North Melbourne's Majak Daw can be elevated to the senior list from this week onwards regardless of their clubs' long-term injury list status.

The AFL's mid-season nominated rookie rule stipulates a player can be elevated to the senior list after round 11 if the club's total player payments allow it.

It means rookies can be elevated to play senior football regardless of whether they have a teammate on the long-term injury list.

Clubs have until 2pm on the Tuesday after round 22 to promote a player.

Windigo

Has been a gun at lower levels.

Mr.Craig

Here is Colli's highly informative post on Gibson (bottom of the page) -

And here are his VFL stats so far this season...

Despite his higher price I'll probably be looking at Morabito ahead of Gibson as my final mid downgrade due to his (hopefully) better JS. We'll see, obviously the elevation is step number one.

Just to get my head around it, does that mean they can make their promotion choice anytime between now and after rd 22?

Correct
But you think teams would do it now. What's the point of upgrading a player in round 20,21 or 22. North have already put up an article & poll on their website. Gibson ahead on the poll.

+1 would help me complete my team! Reading the north website, the fans are liking him and seem keen to bring him in. Personally i dont think Majak would change the team all that much maybe ave 7-10 possies a game or so?? still has much to learn, While gibson is mature aged recruit and has shown that he can find the ball
