Rich : Over before he began?

I'm going to get slayed for starting this thread but I'm jumping off the Rich bandwagon.

From what I have seen of Brisbane so far this year, Voss looks to be giving some of his 2/3/4th year players a solid chance to prove themselves.
Guys like Collier, Polkinghorne, Proud, Sherman, Stiller, Harding.
Guys like Black, Power, Dalziell, Johnstone, Adcock and Rischitelli will continue to get plenty of midfield rotation.
These factors work against Rich's TOG.
Also he seems to be a tough nut with a game style more suited to SC.

Looking at Palmer last year, who did he have to compete with to get time in the middle?........................I'm still thinking.

Conclusion : I can't have Rich in my 22.

Can I have him on my bench?
I'm not 100% sure yet but for 40k less I can have guys like Beams, Swift and Robinson who should get games and average no worse than Rich.

What are your thought?

All hell would break loose if Rich became an early starter in Brisbanes feeder team. I reckon no less than 99% of teams from people on this site have him and have him starting. He is supposed to be this years Rhys Palmer. I reckon he will spend alot of early days on the bench as Voss eases him into the fray to avoid burning him out (on and off the field).
They have plenty of depth as you pointed out. Not prepared to break apart my structure just yet. Otherwise we might all have to lose our Cox. And wouldnt that be painful !!!!!

I have Otten instead of Rich,  Otten scored over 60 in both preseason games which is more than enough for 126k, and Adelaide i reckon will promote alot of youth this year... Voss is under pressure to produce a good first year, so my thoughts is Rich wont get a lot of game time...

Probably another way of looking a the situation is not who may score the most for their price, make $20-30 more than Rich etc etc but who will play more games as a bench cover player for injury (and also still raising some raising $$ for on-trading).

I am having Rich on the pine not just for raising money in case I want to upgrade later but as a backup in case an on field player is injured, the reason I am using him for this is I think he will play a lot more games than the others on a more regular basis. So in short Im going for a little bit less profit off him than say a Beams or Robinson etc but hopefully that he will be there more often as a backup if I need him.

That make sense, I went the long way around it there.

Shog Dangerfield will find it tough this year... Adelaide have already said they will ease him in.. I would expect to see him playing for atleast the first 1/4 or more of the season... pending injuries

Na this kid has massive raps. The Adelaide public want him to play and i think Craig will soon give in to people power.. put it this way, If he doesn't pick him he should be working in the snack bar.
If Danger can get his body right (and from what i can tell that isn't far away) he will most games. I think anyway..

I will not be selecting Rich. He hasn't shown me enough to show that he can hold his place with Power and Black in the team.

I see more upside in Otten, Dangerfield, Polkinghorne and Liam Anthony,  assuming they get a gig in round 1.
