Hey all  :)
I know alot of us have nearly given up on our dt's in 2012 (I know I have)
Most of our bad luck this year have come through injuries but there is one silver lining to these injuries.
As i already have one eye on 2013 I thought I'd have a look at players to consider for 2013.
These players may have had serious injuries or just have the potential to get much better. Others are young rookies who look to be must haves.

Defenders

Nathan Bock
Obviously got a horrible broken leg earlier in the season. If he is priced under $300,000 would have to be very tempting. Averaged 80 last year. Would make some cash with the possibility of a D7 keeper.

Andrew Carazzo
Averaged 98 after round 3. Back down to 73 after the serious shoulder injury against Essendon. Will be back soon but with the remainding games his average can maybe go back up to 80-85 but nothing more. Meaning he will be underpriced in 2013. Potential to average 95. Will he be a DEF again though?

Dyson Heppell
The third year breakout? Some people think this is a myth others seriously look at it before the season starts. Either way you'd think Heppell could only improve. Was great last year as a rookie and very popular again this year. Potential to average 90+

Midfield

Marc Murphy
Averaged has been lowered due to the shoulder injury. Will also be back this season but will be underpriced next season. Should only get better but can he handle the tag? One to seriously consider next season.

Jack Redden
Has got alot better in the past few rounds this season. Should continue to improve as the lions do. Has the potential to be in the top 5 mids next season

Luke Ball
Lenny Hayes showed this season that older blokes can come back well from Knee-reco's. Maybe bally can do the same. Has a potential to average 90. Risky choice but depending on price could be worth a look.

Jaeger O'Meara & Brad Crouch
Gone to GC and Adelaide respectively as 17 year olds. Don't know alot about them but should be locks in peoples teams for next season. Probably would have been top 5 in the draft so won't have to pay top price for these rookies.

Lachie Whitfield
This years draft is hyped as one of the best ever. Nearly as good as 2001 draft apparently. This kid dominated for Vic Country again today and looks to be going number 1. The scores and JS of this future gun should outweigh the fact we will be forking out a bit more cash for him.

Rucks

Matthew Leuenberger
Has an average of 56 thanks to that injury in round 3. Should be back soon but will still be underpriced (for his potential) in 2013. However, the lions will be keen to continue the development of Billy Longer.

Max Gawn
Serious injury that ended his season before it started. Should have a near rookie price. Will hopefully get games so he can make some cash and be good bench cover.

Forwards

Tom Rockliff
Maybe, just maybe this guy could be named a mid-fwd next year. Would be a lock if he was. Will only get better and has the potential to average 110+. Should still be considered if only named a mid.

Nathan Fyfe
Average of 80 before having a shoulder reco and will have very few games to improve that average. Underpriced, young and will only get better. Absolute Jet. Should average 100 as long as that Shoulder doesnt cripple him again.

Mark Lecras
Hasn't and won't play a game this year. Will be super cheap. Has the potential to make alot of cash or even become a keeper.

Josh Kennedy
Averaging 55. Will not have too many games to improve on that meaning he will be cheapish. Will be cash or the slight chance to become a keeper.

Brent Macaffer
As a pies man, this guy is definitly in our best 22 when fully fit. Should be really cheap and should be good if he can get back to 2010 form. Average of 75 would mean he'd make a nice lump of cash. Could get the green vest though.

Andrew Krakouer
Jason Porplyzia number 2. Will be similarly priced as Porpz was and should average around the same. Green vest could haunt him as well though.

There you have it. Only half way through 2012 but already an eye on 2013. Anyone got any info on young rookies or on injured players (will menzel be back round 1?) Please nominate players who you think will have a break out year and who you're considering in 2013.  :)

Yes maybe, am ranked 15,000 after finishing 1,200 last year. No harm in having a look to the future though  :)

Yeah true that. Anyone you reckon that could become a dpp that isn't already. Rockliff is a chance. Shauny Grigg from the tiges as a mid-def?

Ziplock

Gibbs should get DEF status back.

Same, i think Sidey/Danger will lose it for sure, Fyfe too most likely. I think Lids/Zaha should keep it, and I'm certain beams will stay mid/fwd.

well if Rockliff does he will be in everyones forward line, if Watson keeps getting a goal or 2 a game i think he might i dunno really to early to call

Adamant

Hartlett & Mzungu should both be DEF/MID next year...mabye even Shuey as MID/FWD?

well if watson becomes fwd/mid  than swan is just as likely.... both will not be,but its nice to dream :)

Legen...DARY

Hoping Mitch Duncan gets a FWD link however probably doubtful.

Also, Staker should be good for some cash if he returns

gossiboy

Joe Daniher: Prospect top 3 pick in the upcoming "superdraft" but already agreed to terms with essendon to go as a father/son pick with Essendon's first round pick (15-30) so he won't be too expensive.  200cm ruck/forward who should get the DPP - already working with Essendon to get his body right for round 1 next year and with hurley/ryder/crameri/gumbleton occupying the essendon forward 50 it's hard to see him drawing the best defender. A must have for next season in my opinion.

I'll be getting on as many rookies as I can next year - keep the cash in the bank for the MBR's ;)

But Whitfield, O'Maera, Crouch and Viney are locks for my starting MID, Troy Menzel from SA will be a good FWD - he's kicked 15 goals in 2 U/18s games - and Brodie Grundy (also from SA) is gonna be a great ruckman

I'll definitely be getting Krakouer, Fyfe and maybe Ball. Rockliff's a lock too if he's DPP

I reckon possibly Danger and definitely Sidey and Lids will be MID only next year; but Beams should keep DPP, as should Zaharakis and (hopefully) a dirt-cheap Fyfe ;D

Lewis Jetta Mid/Fwd potentially...
