why would you play one of the premium midfielders in the competition as full forward ... to develop the young mids?? why even have gary ablett at the suns then

ablett would have to be in the top 3 mids in the comp....and he is playing full forward....every team has a gun mid or two..problem is gold coast have dud mids and traded for....risketilli....brennan...campbell brown....crap players....

probably gone to FF like most elite mids do when they are wearing a hard tag. He has drifted through the midfield but not doing much good there either, the inside mids for the saints have been to good, problem with the suns is who are thier in and under midfielders again ? Hunt ? Swallow hurts a lot he'll be back next week and he at least can win the hard ball and feed ablett.

@ gurks31 - don't be shattered ablett is a MUST for the season, next week another 160 and you'll be smiling again :)

colli how can u be so sure ablett wont be played in the forward line from now....this year has been a write off for the gold coast....wouldnt be suprised if bluey plays him in the forward line.....might have to go to swan...at least they dont have a problem with ball hogs....

Goddard's scores against the Suns are 141 and 152... I don't think I'm overestimating at all.

Well that was truly disastrous. Never seen Ablett have such little impact in a game. He barely did anything of use for the Suns today. He didn't look right to me tbh. Not sure if he's fatigued or what, but he was ordinary today at best.

Hall beat him
Hunt beat him
McQualter beat him
Raph Clarke beat him
Saad beat him and he played 2 and a half quarters

Dont really know whar else to say. My team this week is royally screwed up the clacker, and I don't even want to look at my team.

I can't know for sure, but i BET my LEFT NUT Ablett would sooner retire than become a FF, or in other word a player that doesn't really influence the game or lead by example.

The other thing is he is on a BIG Salary and they NEED to attract members and bums on seats at games, neither of those things are going to happen if he isn't being a star.

They need a return on thier investment.

Besides just because VOSS is an IMBECILE and plays ROCKY FWD doesn't mean all QLD TEAMS COACHES are IMBECILES and play thier best ball winning midfielders FWD....

or does it?  :) cheer up 61 from your captain isn't the end of the world..... just the round :)
