My Way Of Tackling The Byes

Worked out a very simple way for me to deal with byes.

Might help some with managing 0's.

Use all 3 trades this week to manage the doughies.

For example.

If I didn't do any trades all through bye rounds I cop 11 0's.

My three trades this week knock that down to 10 (without any trade round 13) with some clever use off DPP.  ;)

Round 11:

2 (Use all three trades) IN: GAJ, Thomas & M.Williams OUT: Pendlebury, Horsely & Treloar)

Round 12:

3 (Cop these, don't use a trade)

Round 13:

5 1!!! (Use all three trades) OUT: Morris, Hall & Sexton  IN: Rookies for the year+my last gun defender)

And only cop 6 all byes.  8)

Leaves me with 6 trades, but ultimately a finished team.

BACKS:

Deledio, Goddard, Broughton, Heppell, Lake, Golby & GUN (Hargrave/Smedts** & Rookie)

MIDS: Very unique, but meh. I like unique.  :P

Swan, GAJ, Thomas, Redden, Rockliff & Simpson (Rookie & Williams)

RUCKS:

Kreuzer & Giles (Orren & Redden)

FORWARDS:

Franklin, Martin, Beams, Sidebottom, Dangerfield, Whitcross & Pavlich (Rookie & Zorko)

**Depends on price fluctuations.

This will all hang on chance and the hope of some rookies coming through. But there will be water if God wills it.  8)

Projections Using Ass-Coach:

Let's assume all trades for rookies are $104,200

*Getting Daisy means I have enough 'breathing space'.*

Bank: $83,300

Morris' Price Round 13: $256,700

Hall's Price Round 13: $263,800

Sexton's Price Round 13: 184,700

Hall>Rookie (104,200)
Sexton>Rookie (104,200)
Morris>GUN

Then have Hargrave/Golby on bench.  8)

+$$$ left over to upgrade to Cox, maybe.

Do you think marley will be able to keep his spot for a while? or only need him during byes? If not Treloar still has good scoring potential and money to make (may not be heaps but wont lose you cash keeping him for another game or 2)

Not keen on getting rid of Treloar, but since you don;t have a d smith or mcdonald I'd say do it, I loke the look of your final team.

Hopefully Clifton is good for a Round 13 call up but it's going to be touch and go, much like Miles I think he could get a game or two in the NEAFL post-injury before a call up.

Docherty and Mitchell look to be out of the picture. I'm guessing Patton is too expenisive to be considered? Might be a couple of other GWS boys who will pop out of the woodwork in the next fortnight. We'll see.

Yeah, I'm eying of Cliffo. Not too fast about Docherty though! Been slaying in the reserves and been BOG last week I think....I'm sure Vossy will give him game time.

Still unsure with what I'm doing. I might just do one trade this week to bring it down to 1 or 2 and then do 3 come R12 when like half of my team have a bye  ::)
