So anyone following the next 12 months of video games?

Nintendo had their conference earlier today and it was woeful

Video looks way too long for me to watch before my exam but I'll have a look this evening. I thought the Wii U sounded alright though... Any quick summary you gathered?

the conference was 90 minutes in total

there are only ports that have been released for it so far....

the only 2 games i'm interested in, are Lego City and another game that Nintendo did not talk about but released a trailer for after their presentation called Project P, and unless they come out on launch im not buying a Wii U day 1

Zombie U is meh, and i spent the entire 90 minutes raging about how poor the launch lineup was..... now the 3DS didn't suffer overall (highest selling console ever for first 12 months) but still low on 3rd party support and next to no 3rd party support so far for the Wii U

Why would they need 3rd party support when their games are better than anybody else's anyway?

Windigo

I wish I could go to E3.  :(

lol are you serious???? 90% of the games that were on the Wii not made by 3rd party support were terrible......

The Nintendo 64 was a success because of Rare's support as a 3rd party (it was one of the biggest developers in the world at the time)

Gamecube failed because of lack of 3rd party support

The Wii succeeded due to the casual crowd buying Nintendo's new revolution controls and gameplay

Because the Zelda games have never been successful and great games, and I'm sure Mario has always sucked. ::)

Yes N64 benefited from 3rd party support, in no way did it rely on it however, considering it's 3 most iconic games, Zelda OoT, Super Mario and Mario Kart were all Nintendo developed, I think it would have done pretty well without the 3rd party support.

Gamecube was underrated as a system, there were a lot of great games for it, Zelda (again), Mario Sunshine, Pikmin, SSBM and Metriod prime just to name a few. I would choose a Gamecube over PS2 or 3, and over Xbox or 360.

Cicjose

but at least there were games for it outside of Nintendo's development

from what i've seen so far i would only buy one game not made by Nintendo for the Wii U and when 3rd party development is scarce at E3 (considering rumours that its going to be out in 3 months) im not holding my breath for  a good launch base.......

the 3DS suffered the same problem

BoredSaint

Really interested in that new game 'Watchdog'? i think its called

Kinda like GTA but you are a hacker who can control things like traffic lights etc.. Looks like an interesting concept

we need to know they exist

BB67th

The new Pikmin looks pretty good, integrating the new controls with the Wii U well. Thoughts?

Master Q

Watched the Microsoft Press Conference on youtube before I read this article - at the time it had like double the dislikes than likes  :P

Justin Bieber

I jizzed in my pants when I saw it

Pyro + Pikmin = <3

cicj you make no sense, my point was, that if there are great games released made by nintendo, then surely you wouldn't need to have 3rd party games specifically, and if such circumstance occurs (nintendo being nintendo it may as well be a given) then that becomes unecessary
