SamtheKing - the Crows injuries are:
David Mackay - mid
Nick Joyce - wont play this year
Brad Crouch - cant play this year
Shaun McKernan - ruck/forward
Will Young (rookie) wont play this year

None of the above players are backline players so he is not holding anyone out the team. I would not say Fremantle in WA is playing him against a bad side.

His spot will remain if his form is good if not then one of Otten or Henderson comes in.

I'll get him in for morris next week too. If he doesn't play every week then it's no biggie, have darley as cover too.

Looks like i'm wrong, I did say that s shaw was the best downgrade option for defenders atm.

As a crows supporter I can tell you that he is very highly rated and injuries is the only thing that has held him back. Sam Shaw and Talia are the crows future backbone players and he will play every week if his form continues.

Currently holding Ricky Henderson and Andy Otten out the team and will continue to do so if he plays like he did on the weekend.

I think he has good JS.

+1 with everything he's said here

Football Factory

im on him .. getting rid of Ellis make some cash avoid an extra donut round 13

PowerBug

Holding Andy Otten out of the side... Otten's a pretty good player. That makes me a bit iffy on getting him now. :-\

Otten can play elsewhere though. Every top 8 side needs 4 tall defenders in the 21 to cover the resting ruckman.

M.Clarke --> S.Shaw

Round 13:
Milera --> Couch
Ellis --> Waters
Morris --> Johnson

milera to couch seems pointless as couch cant get a game, id wait until he plays, like the rest though.

well whoelse am i gonna downgrade to mate?

Couch got another BOG in VFL on Saturday, and he's 85k - perfect downgrade opportuinity too.

PowerBug

Yeah, i'd still go Couch. He's dirt cheap and he will play eventually.

Otten has been pretty poor this year; even his SANFL stats are not very eye-catching.. But when Shaw has gone to SANFL he has played really well, so I'd say Shaw is ahead of Otten in the pecking order at West Lakes :)

But in hindsight, if Johncock or somebody gets moved into defence to make way for another FWD (Lynch, McKernan), Shaw might be the casualty. Just think of who there is fighting for spots in defence - Doughty, Rutten, Talia, Reilly, Johncock, Jaensch, Smith, Otten, Shaw, McKernan. First four definitely won't go out of the side, next three getting consistent games and getting better by the week, so it will be tough to hold down a regular spot unless Shaw delivers a standout performance

Just not sure whether I should get on him ::)

dtrain

Was thinkin bout bringing him in but will wait til teams are selected

Windigo

Magnar losing a bit of steam.

Couch will come in for the second half I reckon.

But as for Shaw, who knows. If he is named this week, some people will take the punt.
