It's back for another week, so get around it lads! Post how you went in the following criteria:

Normally when you have 2 players scoring 190+ you'd get a huge score. Not this week. It was a disappointing week for many (definitely myself), so vent your frustration here! Add your comments of praise or rage wherever you like

Scored 1978 in DT, juuuust managed to win my main league game thanks to Billy Longer withdrawing (who my opponent had)

Zorko, Dangerfield, Coniglio (who yet again tons up when on my bench), Goddard and (of course) Ablett and Franklin

Who didn't
Too many to list... Selwood, Thompson, Horsely and Pendles (never had two players subbed out in one round, let alone one game), Stephenson, Giles, Lake and Hargrave

Who was your captain?
Steele Sidebottom (thanks Calvin ya silly Pirate)

Still in the Eliminator?
Went down by 52 points. Lake and Hargrave have cost me dearly, GAJ did all he could to save me but it was all in vain.

Any trades this week?
5 of my forwards out this week so I'll upgrade Devon Smith or Porplyzia to Robinson, Chappy or Stevie J. May do a rage trade and dump Hargrave or Lake too.
But to do either of them I need to find a downgrade target somewhere (attention Mark Neeld - play Couch!!!)

Anything else
Brian Lake. An idea labelled brilliant by several has turned to shower... It was Round 8. Bugg had peaked in price at 298K, so I thought "How about Lake? 3 round avg of 106, BE of 47, what could go wrong?!" Since then I've been repaid with scores of 52 and 49.... He is fast approaching "Never Again" status >:(

First time under 2000 for the year, first league loss of the year - A week to forget and now we have 3 weeks of byes. FMDT for now. Oh and did I mention Waters is about to be rubbed out for the entire Bye period!!

Zorko, Coniglio and Hall all did well (on my bench!), Goddard, Chappy, Lids, Watson, Danger and of course Ablett (but of course I didn't have him captain!). Treloar, Waters, Broughton, Robinson and Clarke well all okay...

Who didn't? Pendles, Horsley, McDonald, Stephenson (but I should have expected that), Hargrave, Sidebottom, Lewis, Hayes and Martin.

Mr. Steele Sidebottom was unfortunately my captain choice, but I don't really blame Calvin, was keen on him myself but should have stayed away, especially after choosing Watson last week... what was I thinking?!

Eliminator, well lost thanks to having Pendles, Hargrave and Sidebottom captain vs Watson. His ranking in eliminator was almost four times mine. Lost by more than 100, and he didn't even have Franklin! (he had Swallow and Gia too!).

As for trades, I'm thinking of McDonald to a premium, and perhaps Sam Shaw next week... in a fairly good position with trades thankfully, with 16 left.

One last thing I'd like to whinge about, is that teams like mine which didn't have Franklin, or to a lesser extent Ablett captain (which was my own fault, and I've usually gone with the bald boy most weeks) got disproportionately punished this week by the luck gods. Two of the biggest scores in DT history in the same week, and what might have been a 10-50 pt difference between opposing players turns into a 100-140 pt difference... enough to cost people a fair chunk of their ranking or their eliminator and league matches.

Edit: How can people complain about Clancee Pearce? He was a fairly risky mid pricer, and even then 79 is a pretty good return (especially by this week standards) for his price. Was tempted not to put Martin in the list of underperformers, as 72 isn't really all that bad (15 pts off his average).

Heh, my league opponent was 131000 overall, and he didn't even cheat, he was 168000 for the week before... scored a cool 200 pts more than me this week though :P
