The whole lot is correct, but the bolded especially. A Cheer to you DT Gun, well said buddy. :) I didn't go Ablett skipper but Chapman, more than happy with his 137. :D

Just to rub salt in to the wounds, Ablett just keeps on going... 130 pt captain difference and counting!

Edit: I might add, that I reckon most of the people coming in here whinging about us whinging, probably had Ablett captain (and Franklin too!).

I have 3 premiums out, Jewlood, Pendles and Horsley playing over Shiel. If you captained Sidey you should be angry with yourself for captaining a non super-premo, Sidebottom is a premium who i still proving himself as a fantasy star. ;)

Im going to defend calvin too, by taking his advice everyweek I have averaged 135 in captains this year. Sidebottom or pendles was the correct pick everything pointed at him your just unlucky. Ablett and Franklin were not the correct picks yet the ton up. If you were right everyweek we would score 2500 every week.

There is no real justifiable reason NOT to choose Sidey this week.

Slaying out huge scores and his from could not be denied.

If Swan was playing I'd have gone with him. I couldn't trust Pendles and had no one else to go to.

Yeah it was totally expected for Sidey to slay this week! He is still a legend.

What makes it worse is having so many massive scores in my team, just uncaptained!

Not choosing a side, just stating a fact here.

If you had chosen Ablett as perma-captain (for the games he's played), you'd be averaging just over 132 as captain.
So either or. But GAJ is more reliable IMO.

This. I've actually had Ablett captain pretty much every week bar the 2 weeks he was out. There was no real indication he would smash it this week compared to two weeks prior where he was fairly average... add that to the fact my league opponent was a spud (he's probably jumping 50,000 spots overall this week... go figure!), and I thought I'd take a punt. I actually lost by more than 200 pts, so it wouldn't have changed the result, but add to the fact that this week has had completely freakish scores, and not having Franklin or Ablett captain can basically cost you a league match vs a poorer opponent, or even a fair chunk of your ranking, and this wouldn't happen 99 weeks out of 100 (to the extent it has this week anyway).

I mean, my opponent had Melksham, Josh Hill and Geary (on the field with no cover). He was ranked blooody 131,523 overall! That sh!t just aint right I'm telling you! Oh yeah, and having Zorko and Coniglio on my mid's bench over Horsely and McDee also killed me.

On the bright side, at least Hall played and scored well! Yay!

hahahaha I'm almost done fro this freaking year. I make Sidebottom my captain for the first time and he gets his worst score of the season.

Seriously fed up with this crap. I'm not making my captain a player against GWS or GCS ever again. It seems like they don't try as hard because they're versing a crap team.

There was no indication Sidebottom would score under 100 at all, he had a bad game and got tagged...

But ablett was never going to get a tag against the pies and was a shoe in for 120+

Pendlebury getting subbed sucks too...


Calvin is no wiser than me when it comes to picking dream team captains... His site just makes it easily accessible for people to get a second opinion.. AND he gives reasons as to why he thinks someone will do well to justify his selections!

So not only is Calvins opinion a SECOND OPINION, (your own being first) but he then justifies it with a reason and you have another chance to agree/disagree to his opinion by listening to his reason!

So all calvin does it get the stats for you, and gives his opinion through numbers!
He is no expert, no genious but merely a number cruncher!

And sidebottoms numbers were good!

Even though you choose GAJ as your cpt (as did many many others this week), I'd still take Clavins opinion over your any day! He pulls the goods most weeks.  8) 8)

Its simple but the C on ableet or trade him and do it, you dont need to worry about who he is playing the weather the important thing is its ablett.
