We already have a Reid. He's not going well. Not sure we need another one.

Nah in all seriousness Ben would be a good pick up. CHB in the red and white!

Capper

would be a good pick up if he can stay fit

but there are some better backs on the free agency list that we could go for

HOME AFL AFL PREMIERSHIP AFL REVEALS LIST OF 81 FREE AGENTS
The AFL release list of 81 players who will be regarded free agents when the market begins on October 1

St Kilda and Geelong could pay the highest price when free agency is introduced this season after the AFL released the full list of 81 free agents.

The Saints have 10 free agents, including stars Leigh Montagna, Sam Fisher and Brendon Goddard.

Vote: Best Player in the AFL

Buddy, Gaz or Juddy? Who's the best in the game?
Montagna is an unrestricted free agent, which means he is free to walk out on the club without being traded or entering the draft.

Fisher and Goddard are restricted free agents, so the Saints would have the ability to match a rival club's offer.

All three are out of contract at the end of this season.

The Cats' seven free agents - including premiership players Steve Johnson, Paul Chapman and Corey Enright - are all unrestricted.

Players who have given seven years of service to a club are eligible for free agency but the criteria also includes pay and contract status.

It will form the basis of every club's recruiting strategy this year ahead of the month-long free agency meat market which is set to start on October 1, only two days after the grand final.

Which player on the list below do you want at your club?

Tabs, who from the list are you suggesting as a new key backman better than Reid?

Teddy turns 30 next year, and much like Craig Bolton has been playing well outside his comfort zone the last two years.

Reid seems like a perfect fit to me? The boys want to play together, he aint going to come cheap though.....

Reid seems to be a good option

Justin Bieber

Heath Shaw just re-signed though...  ???

Capper

We need a FB and another B or HB imo.

Not many FBs on the list. Surely Ben isnt the only option, sure if he can stay fit he would be a good option.

I highlighted people we should look at but probably will not move.

We need to resign Jude Bolton, Jarrad McVeigh first and then look at what to do with Jarred Moore.

QuoteSYDNEY SWANS
Free agents: Jude Bolton, Jarred Moore (unrestricted), Jarrad McVeigh (restricted)
Update: The Swans had just three names on their list before Jarrad McVeigh, their only restricted free agent, signed a three-year extension this month. Bolton's form comfortably warrants another one-year deal and, if that doesn't eventuate, he'll retire. That leaves Moore, a member of the leadership group who is yet to play a senior match this year. It wouldn't surprise if he decided to test the market for more opportunities.
Potential targets: Renowned for their knack of finding diamonds in the rough and re-launching stalled careers, the Swans are unlikely to be major players in the first free-agent period. They have decent depth, with a key forward their most likely deficiency, but they believe Sam Reid will solve any shortfall there in the coming years. But they also won't be standing still as the landscape continues to change.
From the club: "There's no doubt [free agency] is going to change footy a bit. I'm not sure how much just yet. It will evolve over three or four years and you have to keep your eye on that, not just one year. I don't want to go into specific targets, but your list has always got to get better. You're never in a position where you sit back and you're satisfied and you don't do anything. Players get older or you get injuries, so you're always on the look out." - Swans coach John Longmire.
- James Dampney

No one on the free agent list does anything for me, cant see us chasing anyone too hard.

Get onto Ben Reid though Damn it!

stew42

I think he's signed up for a two year contract... have to wait until trade window, anyone we've got our eye on?
