chris scott is a no talent hack. he reminds me of thompson in his final year as coach, could not give a flower. useless cow. has he actually done any coaching? how in the flower do you lose the contested possession count in every game up until now and then manage to lose it to a bunch of 18 yr olds in the first quarter against GWS? last week stevie j had to take it upon himself to move into the mids and across half back to single handedly win us the game against the dogs. chris scott, you get the chop!

Eagle boy

If Geelong lose this game at home against GWS, Scott should hand his resignation in at the final siren.

Ziplock

lol, because it's scotts fault his team has all these small injuries that need dealing with, because they're all geriatrics.

pyronerd

well considering you have still won 6 games with these little injuries, with a team that everyone expected to drop LAST  year, he isn't doing terribly

besides, the cats have been that well skilled the past few years, that they could have done what they did without a coach

roo boys!

Not like he won you the flag last year or anything ::)

CrowsFan

So you think last week Stevie J just thought to himself "hmm maybe I should go run around in the midfield to try and help out the team" do you? You don't think Chris Scott would have told him to go play in the mids as part of the game plan? Nah surely not. Scott just picks 22 players each week and lets them decide where they want to play on the day ::)

PowerBug

Chris Scott may make the calls, but the players actually play the game. So blame them for not getting the ball.

guy's like SteveJ, Kelly, Bartell, Chap, yep they don't need a coach, could be on to something??

biggy12

are you serious?
scotty pretty much resurrected the club last year from sliding down the ladder and winning a well deserved third premiership. show some respect ham before you call him 'untalented'. i mean, he's constantly deriving new game plan and methods with the assistant coaches to continue the success while also blooding more youngsters than GC this year.

i think he's a absolute gem of a coach, and i hope he stays on for the long haul

Ziplock

he's dealing with an aging team, retirements etc. All teams fall eventually lol.

Spinking

Not sure if this is a serious thread or not, but I really rate him as a coach and think he has done an excellent job with a challenging squad. They are still a very good chance of playing finals despite managing to get some real generational change into the club. It's going to a hard couple of years for Scotty, but I think he's the right man for the job.

bunyip

Totally agree. Even if we don't make the finals this season, he's done a great job. He is exactly the coach we need now.

+1 they have been a fantastic team, one of the best of all time with 3 flags in 5 years. Theres always a down period after something like that. Look at the Lions after their 3peat. I think the Cats will be more like the swans after there flag win and stay competative and a finals threat. Lure Boak and keep Hawkins fit and the Cats still have a bright near future. Scott is no dill and the implications he has brought to the club will see him through his contract as a bare minimum. Hes blooding youngsters and will be around for a while :) and rightly so after winning a flag in his first year

Hagebear

LOL at this thread. He coached you to a flag last year, and will probably do it again this year. Sliced Ham, I think you need the chop!
