Conidering bringing Easton Wood in as my last back - on the face of it seems a bit crazy but these are the points I see in his favour:

- Excellent job security (has only been out through injury)
- Is very strong and fast for his size. Has a huge and accurate kick.
- Playing a mix of half-back and centre time, with Mid time increasing (named in mids this week). He has long been touted as a potential gun midfielder with similarities to Griffen.
- Young and improving
- Looked to have a break out game against Collingwood before he went down with an injury in Q3 (on 84 SC points).
- Pretty cheap - $294K
- There aren't really any reliable super premium backs for the last back spot. Rekon I can better results spending the cash on super premium mids and forwards.
- At that price I could also consider him as a reliable bench cover and bring in a premo late in the season if I have some luxury trades left during finals.
- I am dogs supporter  ;D

Anyone want to talk me out of it?

You're nuts!  ;D

He should improve but has only ever averaged in the 50's. Very risky!

Yes his average to date is well yeah average, but seeing him when he takes it on like he did against the pies you can see so much potential. I can feel a continuation of that break out coming  ;)

Here's my team in case that helps.

Deledio, Goddard, Scotland, Heppell, Lake, Dempsey, Mohr->Wood <Ellis, Spurr>

Ablett, Pendles, Boyd, JSellwood, Barlow, Horsely <OldMac, Zorko>

Giles, Cox <Redden,Stephenson>

Dangerfield, Franklin, Pavlich, Rioli, Dahlhaus, Martin, Treolar <Smith, Hall>

Assuming I do the Mohr to Wood trade, I still need to upgrade a Mid (to probably Thompson) and Fwd (to probably Sidey) - but would do that after the byes.

3 other possible luxury trades could then be - another premo back, Barlow -> super prem, and Giles. But would be waiting until very late in season if I do them.

Will have $60K and 11 trades left after the Wood trade.

Happy enough with my bye stucture - doesn't look great but matches up OK against my league opponents.

specky lecky

He was having a really great season up until his injury. He's consistent too, weather you wanna wait until after the bye to get someone who is more of a premium.

4 peeps say reasonable, 3 say crazy...hmmm

Think I might do it  :P

If trades/injuries go well he can be a very reliable bench cover. SC is more fun with players from your team  ;D
