The North Melbourne Football Club can confirm ruckman Hamish McIntosh will undergo surgery after injuring his right knee while jumping during training on Wednesday.

“Scans have revealed Hamish sustained a lateral meniscus tear to his knee and will require arthroscopic surgery,” Director of Medical Services Steve Saunders said.

McIntosh had already missed the last two matches due to knee soreness, but will now be forced to spend more time on the sidelines.

“This is obviously very frustrating for Hamish because he was close to returning to play from a previous injury.

“His rehabilitation time is expected to be four to six weeks, which we will be able to confirm after the surgery.”

Man, the rucks hate me this year.  First Mumford and now HMac.  Does anyone have any ideas on any downgrade targets, preferably one that doesn't share the bye with Cox/Giles, because I'm struggling to see any? :(

Pyke or Orren?

It'd suck to have gone Mumford and HMac at the start of the season.

I have Orren already, but I'll check Pyke out.  Though, Pyke will have to wait until next week as I've already made my trades for this week, so it looks as though I'll miss one price rise.

I traded HMac in for Mumford in like round 4. >>  Why didn't I go Maric instead?  :'(
