i think stevie j will play closer to goal and less mid time with hawkins out.. i think he will average around 90 from here on in
Still not a bad score for a forward this year..lol  :o

Geez interesting point... Surely it just helps Stephenson's JS as a resting ruckman will go forward. Hawkins is only out until the round 12 bye as well.

stevie j got slagged in the media for chasing stats when he is most dangerous in the forward pocket kicking goals.

I would prefer chappy to stevie j, chappy is not as creative in the forward line so he should play more up the ground

He was setting up 80% of Geelong's forward thrusts in that game playing a quarter back style role across half back. He was dangerous enough and I wouldn't read too much into the media's opinion on AFL anymore, has little clue.

What about Stevie J bringing himself into his own SuperCoach side..? Maybe his loose across half back role will continue?

DT Gun

exactly.

Why would you want the most damaging/dangerous/gifted forward in the game slutting of half back?

He will not stay a sweeper long, i think he was asked to play midfield by scott and create in the middle, but instead just slutted around the back for cheap touches

But they weren't cheap touches, I watched the game and he was setting Geelong up time and time again..! And the commentators were saying he should get manned up because he was too damaging.

DT Gun

Refer to previous post..

Why would you want the most dangerous/best sharp shooter you have in your team slutting off half back when you have mackie, enright, hunt, taylor, scarlett who are more than capable of doing that..

Any decent coach will look at that and tell him to spend more time in the attacking half of the ground

Yeah I'm getting him in regardless :P Not putting him captain though... Sidebottom seems safer this week.
