What to do with the Bugg?

My backline currently sits at: Deledio, Scotland, Goddard, Broughton, Heppell, Hargrave, Clarke, (Bugg, Darley).

Already going with Magner > Sidebottom this week to strengthen forward line.
Byes aren't of major concern but I'll be trying to limit donuts without trading like crazy.

My question is should I scrap the Sidey trade and upgrade Bugg or just ride out his price drop and wait for another rookie defender to come along?

Thoughts will be greatly appreciated!  :)

it doesnt look like you have to play bugg, so id stick with the sidebottom trade if your fwd line is weak and downgrade elsewere during byes and then upgrade bugg

I would try and keep your mids just mids and not mid/fwds.

As an example, if you pick Sidey as a fwd then you can have pendles as a mid. If you pick sidey as a mid then you cant have Pendles

Sure he can.  Sidey is DPP, so he is most likely going to swap him into the forward line anyway.

he says bringing in sidebottom is to strenghten his FWD line so i assume he is moving a fwd rookie to mids for sidebottom??

common sense but still +1

Nice backline, my backline is ordinary at best in comparison.

Yeah I understand the DPP system, just opening up a 2nd link to the mid by getting rid of Magner.

Mids are now Ablett, Pendles, Thompson, Mitchell, Horsely, JMac, Zorko, Pfeiffer (or any fwd rookies i can switch between)

I upgraded Bugg to Lake last week... didn't really pay off last week but hope it does in long term.

A lot of people will downgrade Bugg to Darley to free up cash IMO, but if you have cash and can afford a premium back I say do it (if it doesn't totally screw your bye structure)

Plus he can swing Sidebottom to mid during R12 bye

He could already swing any m/f there??

And even if you leave Sidey in your mids(F7>M6?) then you could always keep sidey there until you're ready for the mid upgrade(swing m/f rook to mids then trade in a premo). With the new DPP trading rule you can get DPP's in your mids without really hurting your team.
