hay guys what do i do ?? have cox, maric. giles and redden as my rucks. will be copping  a donut in rnd 11 id redden does'nt

play. thought of downgrading giles to pyke and capitalising on his B/E -74 plus  making $150k . problem is whats his js like after

mummy comes back ?? any other ideas ? seems a waste having either giles or cox on the bench every week . or should i

cop the donut and wait till after the byes. the cash will no doubt come in handy with trades over rnds 12 and 13

If you have a few spare trades then seems a reasonable short term plan given you'll get about 70 points that one week Alwin and then make $80000 or so... But it will cost you TWO trades.

I'd check who your opponent(s) is(are) and decide after that.

I dont like the JS of pyke at all. As soon as mummy comes back hes gone. Seaby could even force him out.

The 2 games he has played were against the dees and a ruckless saints so buyer beware.

I can see your point and i was thinking about doing the same thing but if you get Pyke in you may run out of trades getting him out. Mummy wont be back this weekend so he may well still be ahead of Seaby.

just a thought.....but what bout Stephenson?? West went down last week so there's a big boost in his JS and hes sitting at 200K at the moment so one would think he has around 100-150K left in him

Ok hold the Pyke bashing

He's WAY ahead of Seaby. Miles ahead.

Mumford is by no means certain to play. He's an "outside chance" (http://www.brisbanetimes.com.au/afl/afl-news/the-mummys-possible-return-has-longmire-thinking-big-20120527-1zd6q.html) meaning that they may well play Pyke anyway.

Mumford has pulled out before and so has LRT. He came back from injury before being a late exclusion from a mystery back infection.

Add that Walsh was fairly disappointing on Saturday and you have a strong case for Pyke as a backup ruckman.

If you think it will work. Cox and Maric are good rucks btw

my main reason for thinking along these lines is that the donut does'nt worry me so much , its just that maric IS my no. 1

ruck and i've got too much money tied up in giles and cox [ 1 always on the bench ] could downgrade and also make money out

of pyke [ from the downgrade and also the bubble ]

Yes yorgis, we get the plan, it's just going to cost 2 valuable trades in this ridiculously unpredictable injury savaged year.

So upside - you get some cash and maybe avoid a donut.

Downside - you lose 2 trades, take a hit on JS (for sure) and the bad seems to outweigh the good.

Actually costing just one trade

1 trade is used as just another dowgrade trade Giles>Pyke,  Exactly the same as somebody doing Morris to Darley
The other is the risky one and this one could potentially be a risk

If hes downgrading Giles to Pyke hes making 250k approx thats worth a trade.  I wish I could make that off all my downgrades.

I'm with knowall on this saying it's only one trade. He doesn't intend to play him on the field except for through the byes since he already has Cox and Maric. Just downgrading Giles to upgrade elsewhere, which is what rookies are meant to be for anyway
