Which trade option? (make sure you read the opening post for the scenario, i'm tanking rd 11)

1. Ellis to Darley, Morris to Dempsey (RESULTING DEFENCE BYE STRUCTURE: 3,3,3)
7 (30.4%)
2. Morris to Darley, Bugg to Hurn (BYE STRUCTURE: 3,2,4)
9 (39.1%)
3. Morris to Darley, Clarke to Waters (BYE STRUCTURE: 4,1,4)
7 (30.4%)

Hi,
My backline, which has'nt been touched all year, needs some reparing:

Goddard, Deledio, Birchall, Malceski, Lake, Clarke, Bugg (Ellis, Morris)

I am tanking rd 11 (so I don't have to make as many trades in rd 12/13), but my current bye structure is:

2 rd 11 byes, 2 rd 12 byes, 5 rd 13 byes

As you can tell I need to get rid of rd 13 bye defenders, and get in rd 11 bye defenders.

Here are my trade options: (I have 14 trades remaining)

1. Ellis to Darley
Morris to Dempsey

This is the best way to get rid of rd 13 defenders, but Ellis still has a low BE (35) and can Dempsey be trusted? He's the best I can afford.
RESULTING DEFENCE STRUCTURE: 3 (rd 11's), 3 (rd 12's), 3 (rd 13's)

2. Morris to Darley
Bugg to Hurn

This is alright in term's of byes; I have make 2 more trades in getting rd 13 bye defenders to avoid a donut. Is Hurn any good though?
RESULTING STRUCTURE: 3, 2, 4

3.Bugg to Darley
Clarke to H.Shaw

This looks great on paper, but then you look at the bye structure...
RESULTING STRUCTURE: 2, 2, 5

Which option do u reckon is best? Consider BE's, Byes, and quality of players going out/in. NOTE THAT I PLAY 1st IN THE LEAGUE IN ROUND 13, SO ITS A MUST WIN GAME.
Thanks a lot! I spent a lot of time writing this up!

Is Clarke a potential keeper, or should i be ousting him with a bE of 97

Benloz

Im keeping Clarke. Finishing my backline this week. Bringing in Waters for Bugg, and Beams for Hale.

My finalised backline is (barring injuries) Deledio, Waters, Heppell, Lake, Clarke, Suckling, Dempsey.

all about winning

A finalised backiline with no Goddard, Scotland or Heath Shaw  ???

Yeah, Ive got my money in Mids, Rucks and FWDs, where the points are being scored.

All 3 are big name backs, but:

Shaw = Overpriced now (Id rather spend on Priddis/NDS/Beams, all for less $$)
Scotland = Underperforming for his standards/expectations
Goddard = Same as Scotland

Option 1 getting some love, but is Dempsey really worth it? It does suit my byes structure well, but Ellis still has a low BE too.

Im keeping him as long as possible. He will me my last upgrade before finals/mid finals

hmmm, that means i have to decide whether the points difference between Waters and Hurn will be compared to Clarke and Bugg. Thoughts?
I reckon (in terms of average for rest of season)

Bugg 70
Clarke 80

Hurn 90
Waters 100

So my opinion doesn't really help me at all here, what about you guys?

Hi,
My backline, which has'nt been touched all year, needs some reparing:

Goddard, Deledio, Birchall, Malceski, Lake, Clarke, Bugg (Ellis, Morris)

NOW - Morris to Waters  + Bugg to Darley.

After Round 12 -  Ellis - round 1 or 12 rook  & Maybe Clarke - Heppell or Enright or Shaw.....

DONUTS

Round 11: 1 (said you were tanking)
Round 12: 0
Round 13: 1 (not like your going to trade out any of your 3 keepers just to avoid one)

yeah I was thinking of something like that, well at least trading Ellis out, thanks. Unfortunately I can't afford to do Bugg to Darley and Morris to Waters though, the best rd 11 bye defender I can afford is Hurn.

I think clarke should be kept for now. He is mu h better than bugg.

I dont see any reason to get dempsey ahead of hurn. He might not even be a keeper.

So bugg to hurn

Equal with hurn now on votes. Could go either way. Go with your gut

Footyrulz

Dont take the votes into too much consideration. Just go with your gut
