Which option?

Josh Jenkins (save a trade and hope he provides enough cover)
5 (83.3%)
Pattison + Roughead (2 trades and Roughy at F7)
0 (0%)
Premium ruck (Who?)
1 (16.7%)

I've had Leuenberger sitting on my bench for a while now, bit I think the time has come to make a move. Should I get in Jenkins who has questionable JS and hope that he plays enough to cover byes/rests, or should I trade berger for Pattison (fwd/ruck) and upgrade a fwd to Roughead when the time is right? This would give me reliable cover for my rucks, but costs 2 trades, and I would be stuck with Roughead at F7 when there are better options out there.

The third option is to get another premo ruck and use giles as cover

i think u should delete your team sorry mate. they fact u held luey this long says something. he should have been traded the week he went down

Bit harsh. If he started 2 premos and has giles and orren at years start there would be no reason to trade him out with Giles smashing it. He will be back.

Leuy is a far way off returning, the lions haven't put an estimated return date on him yet and they have hinted it will be closer towards the end of the year then now. Definitely be trading him.

Jenkins has been playing well, taking over the McKernan role which i think he could possible hold down for a little while yet. If your not concerned about the round 11 bye get him in, the cash injection will help your team out and Giles is a more then capable 2nd ruckman

My team's actually been going pretty well thanks mate. The fact that I still have luey says that the rest of my team is pretty set and I haven't needed the extra cash for desperation upgrades. I've been hit by alot of injuries this year, so my focus has been on league, where the strategy is save trades and make money. I've been trading out injured premiums to rookies in other positions to make the most money, so I haven't needed berger's money yet, nor has there been a good downgrade, till now...

So the consensus looks like JJ over Pattison/Roughead

not sure who your rucks are but JJ has poor job security one bad game and he is gone. Walker and mckernan ahead of him.

I would get on the mullet. straight swap burger to maric.

Giles for cover and who is your other rucks?

i can see jenkins being dropped next week when walker comes back in. Jenkins has done a bit of ruck work (12 hitouts) in his 1st 2 games but mainly playing forward for us with jacobs doing bulk of the ruck work and tippet chipping in also. This means he's taken walkers spot and also has other talls lynch and mckernan to fight with also. He's shown alot of agility and looks good but can only see him playing against the "easier" teams from next week on so he'll be a bit hit and miss in regards to cover for your rucks.
Also remember the weather here in adelaide is mizzerable and normaly is during winter that could also limit the amount of talls selected
