Eliminator vs League Win

Just after some opinions on this one:

If you were in a position that it was necessary to trade to win the Eliminator matchup for the week, but not necessary to trade to win the league matchup for the week, what would you do?

For what it's worth, I have 17 trades left for the year and $258,700 in the bank, but have to bench Swan until he's back.  The midfield is weaker as a result (obviously).  Eliminator opponent has a strong midfield, but mid-strength forward and backlines where I could expose the weaknesses.

I was only planning on doing 1 trade this week (Jeremy Cameron out, Dayne Zorko in) to begin the series of upgrades over the next few weeks, but i'd love to know what everyone else's thoughts would be in this situation.

Thanks in advance.

What's more important to you? Is there $$$ riding on the cash league? If you want to stay alive in the eliminator you'll probs have to trade hard over the bye rounds. Also look at your league opponents during the bye rounds, are u likely to beat them? All of those things need to be weighed up.

Nah, not a cash league - just personal pride :)
I guess the fact i've never advanced further than 2-3 rounds in the Eliminator has peaked my interest here (average team most years, ranking normally in the 10,000 - 30,000 range) and that I might be able to give it a real shot this time round.

I got a few more hours to ponder that decision though, but really appreciate your comments - they're helping to put it into perspective.
