The 24yo 3pt specialist with a nice mid range jumper. Unfortunately though I feel we have more than he is worth though.
makes more sense... why they r after more two guards idk ??? different pace and style?

I'm an absolute noob at basketball these days, but I've decided to start following it a bit more closely.  Having ESPN is handy as they usually show some games.  Anyway, as I said, I know nothing about basketball (well, I know how it's played, I just mean I'm not familiar with the players) but I have decided to support the 76ers, mainly because I support the Flyers in the NHL, so I wanted to keep the Philly connection.  So yeah, looking forward to learning throughout this upcoming season!

They have a young core and are sort of in the middle of a rebuild but are still trying to 'win now' since the city of Philadelphia can be so fickle as you would know. The new owners want to create a team from the ground up but have still signed players like Spencer 'Hawesome' Hawes who played half a good season before becoming a liability on the boards and defensive side of the court and are yet to trade Brick-a-dala even though he is seriously over payed for his skillset. Jrue Holiday does look like he has the potential to be a superstar and the coach does have a bit of a vendetta against Turner who was the number 2 draft pick a couple of years back. He would routinely play Jodie Meeks ahead of him even though he was almost completely useless and Turner had the ability to put up double doubles.

Thanks for the info!  In my minimal research I started I did come across Turner, and he seems like a good prospect.  I watched a couple of videos on him.  I also watched a video of Dorell Wright who is apparently a 3 point expert?  When I did some reading some Sixers fans were pretty excited that Philly picked him up.

I guess I've jumped on at the right time if they are a young side that still has the potential to cause some trouble to other teams.  I did notice we knocked out the Bulls in last year's playoffs, so that was pretty big.  We then lost to Boston who I hate from my support of the Flyers, lol. :P

Turner is a bit of a streaky shooter but is a decent player when he has the ball in his hands. As a team they struggled to get Jrue Holiday, Turner and Iggy to work well together. All of them were good dishing off the ball but struggled when the ball was not in their hands. Turner however has also struggled because he gets no continuity to his game. He had a month where Doug Collins said F it you are starting and he actually had a decent stretch. He then had a couple of bad games in a row and was sent back to the bench for Jodie Meeks. They did beat the Bulls after Derrick Rose tore his ACL in game one and Noah and Deng also carried injuries (from memory Noah missed games). Bulls were injury depleted and almost any playoff team would have knocked the Bulls out at that point (Magic with no Dwight might have struggled.)

In terms of the offseason, 6'ers fans have been thoroughly disappointed. I frequent some of the Philly sports message boards and the fans are certainly not happy. As a team they should have gone into a full rebuild (especially after they traded their 1st round pick which is lottery protected.) They used the amnesty clause on Elton Brand who had a bad contract for his ability at this point of his career. They made their decision to do it to late, so they could not pick up any big name free agents. They got Hawes on a relatively cheap deal for a center but the fans wanted him gone. Andre Iguodala is the other big one. They were hoping to trade him since he has a big contract and all he is really good for is defense. He can't shoot, refuses to drive and misses free throws. He puts up a lot of bricks hence the nickname Brick-a-dala. Nick Young, Kwame Brown and Wright are there big free agent signings/trades. Young can shoot the deep ball but has a habit of being selfish and that is about all he can do. Wright was decent with Golden State from what I can remember (I did not watch them that much) and Kwame Brown has been labelled potentially the biggest bust in NBA history. They have effectively lost their only player who could rebound in Brand (and only inside defensive presence) and gained nothing so the amnesty of Brand was actually a terrible move in retrospect. Even if the rookies come good this season they will still be a borderline lottery team pushing for the 8 seed in a weak conference. This season looks to be another nothing sort of season for the 6'ers. They need a big inside presence which is extremely hard to come by in the NBA. If the young talent starts to come through the way you would hope (and Turner isn't the potential bust he has been criticized of being) then in the next couple of seasons they could develop into a really dangerous team.  The Wolves is another team I look forward to watching over the next few seasons. They are developing a great core with Love and Rubio.

They also lost Lou Williams who was their most consistent scorer and their go to guy (who would miss a lot of shots in that situation) when they needed someone to put up points. He was asking for too much cash for someone who was going to be the 6th man on that team.

Lakers r desperate, this loosely shows how idiotic The Magic r... i mean w0w Aaron Aflolo ;D

Orlando will be in a tight cap space even without Howard's contract going forward, so they dont free up money and get squat back  :o

Rekn BP should be their GM, he certainly could do a better job than these dimwitts ;)

From what I've read (which is all of two comments, haha) this was a pretty good deal for the Sixers.  What do you guys think?

They get the big man they were after and trade Iggy and his terrible contract. Sixers fans have been calling for Iggys head, to get Bynum who was from Philly to the team, it could turn into a very good deal. It will help attract another big free agent with a core of Jrue, Turner and Bynum.

If Bynum decides to stay once his contract is up
