could be a massive get, i mean who better to assemble players around a dominant big man than the big aristottle himself

Shaq has ruled himself out

http://www.cbssports.com/nba/blog/eye-on-basketball/19145266/report-shaq-turns-down-interview-opportunity-with-the-magic

yeah Stephen A was saying last night he thought it was a door opener to ownership... then he calls most the shots without alot of work ;)

id almost certainly say NO now jayman, the two culprits of the shower storm from last year have been canned...

The Magic r tryin to keep him above all else atm, if he does go it will cost a pretty penny, had Bynum shut his gob that trade would be done by now straight up... never thought it could be possible but Bynum actually remained healthy for once and showed if healthy and a focal point of the offense he can produce elite numbers with his smooth post game and defensive presence

"Brooklyn Nets small forward Gerald Wallace has opted out of the final year of his contract, according to multiple reports.

Wallace had until midnight ET Wednesday to decide on his $9.5 million player option for 2012-13.

Wallace now becomes an unrestricted free agent. He had said he wasn't going to play on a one-year deal.

General manager Billy King said Wallace deserves a multiyear deal and wants to re-sign him.

Wallace, 29, averaged 15.2 points, 6.8 rebounds and 3.1 assists in 16 games after being traded to the Nets.

King dealt his team's first-round pick in the 2012 draft (No. 6) to the Portland Trail Blazers in a highly scrutinized move for Wallace."

Was such a sh!t deal in the first place ::)

Wade is the face of the franchise

i wouldn't sell him but yeah the impact he is having in games is not as significant
as what he had in the 2006 finals series:

Maybe they don't need Wade....They could trade him & get a couple of decent support crew around James... ???
They should trade Wade for a centre. Of course, they won't... haha
Dwight maybe?

no need to trade for a centre, of the current draft selections up for grabs are centres that the league as a whole lacks

Miami also has Turiaf and Anthony as their 2 centres so we don't need a centre but with plenty around coming up on draft day it certainly won't hurt to get one

http://www.nba.com/draft/2012/prospects/archive/

there are 11 centres in this draft according to the above list

(1) http://www.nba.com/draft/2012/prospects/dusan-cantekin/ (very tall but poor all round game) NO

(2) http://www.nba.com/draft/2012/prospects/festus-ezeli/ (good defence poor offence) NO

(3) (Fab Melo is the best of them and yes that is his name) Miami will NOT get him he is too good to be passed up IMO
http://www.nba.com/draft/2012/prospects/fab-melo/NO

(4) http://www.nba.com/draft/2012/prospects/robert-sacre/ (good defensive centre but with Joel Anthony i think we want an offensive center) OK

(5) http://www.nba.com/draft/2012/prospects/justin-hamilton/ (good offensive centre (top 15 in most statistical categories so unlikely) ) LIKE

(6) http://www.nba.com/draft/2012/prospects/meyers-leonard/ (improved his offence last year, 2nd biggest improvement of all college basketball last year) LIKE (bleacher report do NOT like)

(7) http://www.nba.com/draft/2012/prospects/ognjen-kuzmic/ (poor body strength but good defender) NO

(8 ) http://www.nba.com/draft/2012/prospects/henry-sims/ (would love him to drop to Miami but not likely, Sims was the only player in the Big East to rank in the top 15 in the conference in blocked shots and assists) UNLIKELY

(9) http://www.nba.com/draft/2012/prospects/kyle-oquinn/ Good project player but Miami will want a centre ready to play NO

(10) http://www.nba.com/draft/2012/prospects/garrett-stutz/ (athletically poor but can shoot the basketball) LIKE

(11) http://www.nba.com/draft/2012/prospects/bernard-james/ (oldest player in draft and cant shoot) NO
