I say no, but its not clear cut as it sounds... Phil has done the same thing with different teams, Pop just the one

It would be my worst nightmare to see the better team (Spurs) lose the series because their best player (Parker) is unable to play. Just hoping Lebron doesn't get another title gifted to him... Praying TP9's hammy is ok

Speaking of Lebron... He is yet to shoot above 50% these finals and hasn't scored 20+ points. Danny Green has scored more than him.

He's choked in 3 of 4 finals appearances...

Is Pop a better coach then Phil Jackson? I say yes.
He definitely gives the best interviews :P

How good were we today? And going to have to back Jayman up on this one; Lebron stunk. Really stunk. It's okay when they win but if Heat lose he's gotta feel the brunt of this.

Its simple, Lebron is not as good of a scorer in the Finals than he is during the regular season... Not sure what Holz has to say about that, but you cant argue with the stats that clearly show he sinks rather than swims in the finals...

but its unfair to have to rely on Lebron to shoot >50% consistently especially
when so few have done it 4 or more times in a row in a regular season let alone a finals series

if you want to blame anyone for today's loss just look at Mario Chalmers stats

0-5 FG, 0 points, 1 assist, 4 turnovers 4 fouls

he has a tattoo claiming he is mr clutch... so where the hell did he go especially since Miami will need to win the next 3 to claim the title?

He is finally here. Cic :D now where is Holz?

Don't be supporting Lebron's 17ppg in the finals mate. He needs to lift.

D-Wade came out aggresive, Lebron didn't.

RiOtChEsS

first two games were more productive than the 17ppg shows, today was horrendous, no confidence in the 17ft and further shot...

Magic said it best, "he has to come out and get 10 shots in the 1st qtr, get himself going, in the 2nd qtr distribute the ball"

Jay

Why do the finals always bring out the worst in Lebron James?

Cicjose

he wasnt terrible but he cannot carry a team to victory we know this

Didn't he have a triple double in game 1? He can't do it all on his own...But that's not that big a knock on him really, he's a SF..

Does a lot of the point work for Miami though.

Thought he was good first game without having a super impact (perhaps I'm being a bit harsh here) and he was good enough second game because Miami won.

Today though, man, that was terrible.

Miami didnt need a triple double in game 1, needed an aggresive scorer to close the game. Lebron didnt.give him.that

game 2 Lebron barely scored early but 'passed' due to Heat winning in a blowout.

Lebron had no aggresion today. Was on 4 points at HT.

Dont expect him to do it all by himself but 17 and 7 isnt enough in the finals when you're the best in the world.
