Hey all

Just want some opinions on what I should be doing.

I've tossed and turned over the last couple of days on whether to hold fire and bench swanny or to trade him out. Got 15 trades left and 100K in the bank. Currently ranked in the 1600's.

Line up before trades:

Backs: Dids,God, Waters, Shaw, Hargrave, Clarke, Dempsey, Bugg, Ellis
Mids: Swanny, Pendles, Boyd, J Selwood, McCarthy, Horse, Magner, McDonald
Ruck: Maric, Giles, Redden, Big O
Fwds: Sidey, Beams, Dangermouse, Franklin, WhiteX, Martin, D Smith, Milera, Cameron

Option A - Trade Swanny

Magner/Swanny >> Zorko (DPP)/ Stants or Ablett

Option B - Hold Swanny

JMac/McCarthy >> Zorko(DPP) / Thompson or Ablett or Stants

Feel free to throw up any other combo's as I would appreciate some advice from you guys.

Option B for me with Thompson/Ablett. Stanton to expensive now.

I would keep Swan you will need your trades later in the year.

Swan out for 2 games and good chance to play melb before the bye. He is basically having almost 3 weeks off with their last game being on a Friday & the game against Melb on a Monday.

I would hold on to Swan. Your still improving your side by getting a premium in your side this week.

Even thou it seems like a waste having 600K sitting on the pine for 2 weeks overall your team will be better with Swan / Thompson / Magner then Thompson Jmac and McCarthy.

Thanks guys, a cheer for you...

Any other's want to throw in their 2 cents worth would be appreciated  :)

Love how you're in the 1600s and doing hell good but with a pretty crap team, shows you how important captain selection and who to fields are.

Hold Swanny and do the second option.

LOL Jukes last 2 weeks helped with nearly 2400 scores without having your main man either!! Thanks for your advice  ;)

It's a similar dilemma to what I've been having! I have a chance for an upgrade, but my cover isn't that fantastic if I bench Swanny.

i guess you have to ask yourself how badly you want the points. I'm of the mind that Swan won't be back til after the bye, so I've opted to move him on. As for who, I personally went for Stanton, because I can't see myself affording him any other way plus I already have Ablett and Thompson. Given the cost of the 2, I'd probably go Ablett.

With JMac being named i would be looking at getting rid of Magner/McCarthy with byes coming up I'd be leaning toward getting Gazza (round 13 keeper) to balance the mids a little more. (might be tight on money thou)

Pendles, Boyd Selwood, Ablett, Horse, McDonald, Zorko Swan.
That midfield can carry Swan for 2 weeks and You'll only want to trade him back in, Zorko is good coverage just in case there's a late out

A. Simply because Jmac is playing this round, and he still has a negative BE(more cash to be made).

But how about this(if it works)?

Magner to Zorko
and
McCarthy to Thompson?

Do you have enough for that? I think both McCarthy and Magner can go whereas you can bench Swanny.
I think you will run out of trades if you try to get Swanny back or have more important trades to do.

If you can't do that then Magner to Zorko and Swan to Thommo?

Thanks guys for your advice and a cheer your way.  I went Magner >> Zorko and McCarthy >>> Ablett and still got $$ in the bank for the future and placed Swanny on the bench.
