My goal this season is to win two important leagues but I am curretly sitting mid table in both. I have started the season conservatively knowing that trades will become more valuable during the finals. I am now trying to get bye structure right to hopefully pick up 3 wins and make a move toward the top 4. Listed below is my current team and the trades i plan on making coming into the byes. My main concern is my forward line. All suggestions are appreciated

Backs:        B.Deledio, B.Goddard, G.Broughton, H.Shaw, B.Lake, S.Morris, L.Spurr   <B.Ellis, J.Hombsh>

Midfield:      S.Pendlebury, J.Selwood, G.Ablett, M.Priddis, J.Magner, S.Coniglio   <J.McDonald, K.Horsely>

Rucks:         J.Giles, N.Naitanui   <J.Redden, O.Stephensen>

Forwards:    S.Sidebottom, L.Franklin, P.Chapman, D.Martin, J.Porplyzia, A.Trealor, T.Adams   <D.Smith, A.Hall>

Cash Left: $582,600
Trades Left: 18

Round 09 Trades: Smith > Zorko
Round 10 Trades: Coniglio > M.Murphy
Round 11 Trades: Giles > Sandilands,

Knowall

What I'd do:
Smith >Zorko
Magner> Murphy (Coniglio has more money to make)

I dont agree with trading Giles at this stage so id fix up your fwd line which your concerned with perhaps get Lewis, Zaha, Danger (which ever one suits your byes) and trade out Porplyzia.

Cheers for the input.

I want to add zorko to the mids because it will open up a DPP link with the forward line. Magner > Zorko seems to make sense now that murphy is out injured. That leaves me with one spare trade with which i can start to adress the forward line.

Either Hall or the Porpoise getting the chop.

Upgrade Options:
1. Dangerfield: Showed how well he can score on the weekend. Good run ahead.
2. N.Reiwoldt: Having a better season with the saints return to form.
3. O'Keefe: Another proven scorer who seems to be hitting form.
4. Zaharakis: Improving on his breakout year. Essendon #1 SC team.

My gut says go Hall > Danger but would be interested in your thoughts.

Magner > Zorko
Hall > Danger - Definitely now a premium forward with an achievable B/e this week so may rise even further. Will need to sort a couple of GWS forwards out prior to Round 11 bye if going this way. Will have 5 players with Round 11 bye.

Ten rounds have passed since I last checked in. Since then i have used 13 trades, am sitting 2nd and 1st in my main leagues and have climbed from 26899 to 4040 overall. With 5 trades and $60,800 left for upgrades, I would appreciate hearing some opinions on improving my team in the finals.

Congratulations on strong team and trades left.

Personally I would just sit and sideways trade for LTI if required.

As you progress through the finals though look at downgrades for cash. Week links although not real week are probably Lake and Dal Santo.

As an outside move and as you have 5 trades left maybe Porps or Adams to Pattinson/.Staley and Redden to a ruck you can afford.  Real flexibility for you. Not necessary straight away. Will allow some real flexibility like bringing Roughie back to forwards and playing Zorko instead of Dal in mids. Maybe a POD.

Then complete your def downgrade/upgrade if needed,

Thanks. Ive been wanting to move Roughead into my forward line for quite a while now but Zorko and Porplyzia keep scoring well. I havent been able to justify using a trade to gain an extra 5-10 ppg. I'm still not really happy with my forward line though. Players like Martin and Goodes have been dissapointing.

The upgrade trades that i might make in the coming weeks are;

Dal Santo -> Swan
Porplyzia/Goodes/Martin  -> Beams/Cox/Maric
Lake        -> Brichall/Waters

All will depend on form
