Can't play sport for 3 months. Any advice on fun things I can do instead?

Played about 15-17ish minutes and got through entirely pain free! Biggest problems were fitness and my inability to shoot the ball. I was a bit conscious of not driving into the key because I was afraid of landing on someone and hurting myself so it was particularly annoying that the 3 ball wasn't falling (made 1 from way too many attempts :-\)
Still, good to be back!
yeh but did that 1 basket winm the game for your team???

Wear a proper knee brace when you play for the first few weeks. The ones with the titanium rods. Basketball is close to the worst sport to play just after hurting your knee, should have gone for a run :P
I don't even know what type of knee brace I would wear for this kind of injury.....
What was it that you did again??? Even if you put a thermo skin on it, that might be good for it

Well, we did win by 2 points... I also scored a nice little midrange jumper so I scored a huge 5 points :P

It's called patellar tendinopathy (or patellar tendinitis) and it was at the stage where I was getting tearing and degeneration. Fortunately, I hadn't yet reached the complete tearing stage so I didn't need surgery. What do you mean by "thermo skin"?

ahhh jumpers knee. That's what Patton had :P Yeah so you can't really wear a knee brace for that type of injury, but a band around the knee just below the lower part of the knee cap might help a little bit.

Two basketball games and an athletics training and I was entirely pain free. Just wish I didn't get tonsillitis :(
