Can't play sport for 3 months. Any advice on fun things I can do instead?

I downloaded (don't ask where I got it from or the coppers will be at my door) Iron Sky last week and it is flowering brilliant, best movie of the year. The action scenes are great, it's very funny, the actors are very good in their respective roles, and the protagonist is very hot.

Just found this again. I'm within a couple of weeks of returning to sport. Getting so excited!!! ;D

Zombie2.5

Play some footy ;)

Of course best candidate for team captain, with all your captain articles, shouldn't be hard ;D

Might be playing basketball tonight if I get through a warmup 100% pain free!

Definitely going to take it easy. Will play half a game at most. Thanks for the advice, guys.

Played about 15-17ish minutes and got through entirely pain free! Biggest problems were fitness and my inability to shoot the ball. I was a bit conscious of not driving into the key because I was afraid of landing on someone and hurting myself so it was particularly annoying that the 3 ball wasn't falling (made 1 from way too many attempts :-\)
Still, good to be back!

Wear a proper knee brace when you play for the first few weeks. The ones with the titanium rods. Basketball is close to the worst sport to play just after hurting your knee, should have gone for a run :P

do you use your legs to shoot or do you mainly use arms?

Happy to hear you are back LH

I don't even know what type of knee brace I would wear for this kind of injury.....

A good basketball shot is all about legs, sadly. My teammates all kept saying that my release was good and that I was taking the right shots, they just weren't falling. I probably wasn't elevating enough on my shot...
