roll the dice

thats exactly what i'm doing  ;)

at wardleduck, byrnes should keep his spot but with stokes gone need another forward choice. my thoughts are either gamble or lonergan (might play back from some sources) or geelong will try out a rookie.

Is 28yr old mature age rookie Podsiadly a chance to play? Presumably they drafted him thinking he could slot straight in if need be..

yeah he is a chance. nab cup trial should give a better idea.

Pods is insurance. I think Geelong were afraid that if they didn't recruit him he would pack it in. He was easily geelongs best player in the VFL and an automatic replacement if something happened to Moons or Tomahawk. But if they stay healthy and keep out of trouble pods will struggle to break into the team. just my thoughts for what it's worth, I have no inside knowledge

And by the way, I agree that Gamble will probably replace Stokesy. We also have two players in Tom Gillies and Simon Hogan. Like Gamble they would be a regular player in a team building up, but are finding it hard to get into Geelongs first 22. But they are almost automatic replacements  for injured players
