One week at a time, the Dogs were due.

Be interesting to see how the Roos bounce back against (a much improved) Port in Port next week

Holz

at the start of the year was hoping to be 4-3 at this stage so abit under what i want, really need to beat port and brisbane if we do that sitting at 5-4 isnt shocking its just how we respond.

roo boys!

Absolutely shocking game, but you can't just judge a team due to one game. Since beating the Cats, we haven't played as well as we did then, that's obvious, but we lost to Sydney in Sydney and West Coast over there, two of the harder tasks in footy. Today we were really poor, like Ossie said it will be interesting to see how the boys respond next week against the Power. We should be able to win 3 or our next 4, and a chance to beat the Hawks as well, but then again we were expected to win today. These are the sorts of losses that can cost you a top eight spot, I have certainly experienced that before! Lets hope it doesn't in our case.

As an aside though it is ineteresting to note that in the games Harvey has been well tagged your performances have suffered.

Free him up and i think you can make top 8. Ziebell and Wells need to step up to take some of the pressure of Boomer.

Exactly. Wells didn't do much until after half time, Boomer didn't do anything until the last quarter and Petrie kicked 3 but didn't have much impact really. If these guys can fire early, we are a lot better side. Which is a bit of a shame really that we are still relying on our star players when by now we would have hoped to be able to win without them, have some other guys stand up and fill the void when these guys are down. Like when Boomer was out for the majority of the year in 2009, and we really struggled and ended up finishing 13th.

apparently the worst team of the round this week so far
(they didn't count Melbourne because they reckon they won't win a game before their bye)

A few changes made this week. In comes Grima returning from a NAB Cup injury (didn't rush him back this year, unlike last year!) along with Milky Warren and Greenwood. Couple of good inclusions there, I'm still a bit sceptical about the Petrie/Edwards/Warren forward line, and Pedersen still not picked, would have certainly thought he'd be ahead of Warren despite VFL form :-\

Great to have Greenwood back, our best tagger by far, but at the expense of Anthony, who was one of our best players on Sunday? Again, not sure about that :-\

PowerBug

Well, i think port will winthis week, as i think every week 8)

Holz

Greenewood and Grima are huge inclusions, Grima playing up front though when Hmac comes back what happens? and i rate grima at CHB

roo boys!

Yeah interesting, although we've learnt over the years that the teams don't really mean much at all now, he will more than likely play at CHB.

who plays CHF than edwards?

roo boys!

Petrie and Edwards the main targets, yeah, although I must admit out backline looks overly tall now that I look at it on paper :-\

Both Delaney's, Thompson, Firrito and Grima..Wells is named on the half back flank though, which proves my point. He's not going to play there the whole game because he'll be in the midfield 90% of the time.

PowerBug

With Schulz back in the side, how are you guys going to man up on Butcher, Westhoff and Schulz?? Which three players will go to them??

In our defence i imagine Carlile starting on Petrie, with Chaplin trying to be the loose man sitting in front of them. And Trengove will take the other tall, which looks to be Grima. Paul Stewart to Shane Edwards is the other one i believe may happen.
